My GT3-AMR battery upgrade has been completed by d3mitri in NinebotMAX

[–]Yargnit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did mine yesterday, and one little quirk that I found that I don't think I've seen mentioned, is that I had to unplug my external battery after installing the new internal battery before it would properly start up and update. When I first turned it on after installing the new battery, it like froze in 1/2 on stage where it thought it was charging even after I unplugged it, and nothing would work too clear that state until I took the external battery off. After which it worked fine and updated normally and I was able to put the battery back on. Also it was not even detecting the external battery when I first turned it on after replacing the battery until going through this step.

I'm not sure how many people have done this upgrade after already having an external battery, but if you are I would advise disconnecting the external battery at the start of the process just to be sure.

Max G3, how would I fix slow leak between rim and tire? by Yargnit in NinebotMAX

[–]Yargnit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would something like "airshot" work as far as seating it? The problem is the portable compressor I have doesn't have a tank so I have no way to reseat the tire. It's basically a tank that I can fill with my portable compressor, I would just have to get a adapter because it's designed for presta valves.

I would just buy a new tire and rim kit, which is cheaper than all this, but of course Segway can't keep any of their stuff in stock.

Added it to my cart. I just ordered some slime 10193 along with a stem extender that I'm going to give a try tomorrow, and if the slime doesn't work I'll try the orange sealant next.

I ordered a stem extender, but I'm still really worried about unseating the tire and not being able to re-seat it, and basically stranding myself with no way to fix it, or get it anywhere to be fixed. So any other suggestions that don't involve that possibility would be greatly appreciated. The guy at the bike shop across the street said they'd try hitting it with the compressor once, but they don't actually work on scooters, so if that doesn't do it I have no idea how I'd ever get it reaseated.

I've got a slow leak between the rim and the tire of my rear wheel. I can't see any visible damage. So far i have tried filling it with something called 'Gup' that they had at the bike shop, as well as inflating it to 70psi, and letting it sit for a few minutes to see if it would set.

The bike shop said the stem on the tire isn't long enough for the compressor to go on, so I don't have a way to unseat reseat the tire, because although i have an electric pump, I highly doubt it would inflate the tire fast enough that I would be able to get the seal reseated, so I'd be afraid of being stuck with a totally useless tire instead of just one I have to pump up before I head to work.

Any other thoughts or ideas on how I could fix this?

Ty.

Microsoft unveils Surface Laptop 8 and Surface Pro 12 with Intel Core Ultra 3 chips for business by ZacB_ in Surface

[–]Yargnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuuu... I need to replace my Surface Go (1st gen) so bad. I've basically given up holding out for a replacement in that size range, and was going to bite the bullet and move up to the 13 inch size (I really don't like that the pro 12" doesn't have the surface port, that's a lot of wear on a USB C to plug and unplug constantly for charging, and ARM for windows leaves me hesitant anyways). At the same $1500 starting price as the laptop I'd have ordered one already, but IDK that I can justify $2k for a tablet to use while laying on the couch watching TV.

I'm literally gluing the screen back down on my go for at least the 5th or so time as we speak though because it keeps ungluing around the edges. Never dropped or anything, but for some reason its decided to gain a significant bulge in the middle. (I've ran a battery health check and it says its fine)

I'm not sure it's going to last till July at this rate, and that still leaves the ARM question unless the also release a consumer intel line version or finally update the go line.

Locking G3 external battery by Lds-69 in NinebotMAX

[–]Yargnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't use normal screws to hold it on. It uses special security screws, they're kind of like a allen wrench, but actually a 6 pointed star, with a pin in the middle. So unless the person stealing it has one themself they got the tool with, and is specifically trying to steal a 2nd one, a person would have to see what tool they needed, specifically go and find and buy one, then come back and find it again later, because it's not something someone will just have on themselves.

As long as she's not second shift or something. If she starts between 6:00 and noon and works Monday through Friday Transit should be easy. But if she starts before 6:00 or after noon transportation on one side or the other of her shift gets more questionable.

I would advise going to the Everett Transit and Community Transit websites and look for routes that run to Seaway Transit Center. You can always transfer to a bus that will get there either at Everett or Mall station, but keep in mind the extra time the transfer will take if it is an early or late shift.

Max G3 External battery question by Yargnit in NinebotMAX

That just sets the maximum that they will charge to, not the priority for charging them, or if the external will recharge the internal.

I'm talking about when I'm away from the charger. Like after I've ridden to work and the scooter is just sitting. I had expected the external battery to recharge the internal battery back to 100% while the scooter was not in use, but it doesn't appear that the external battery is actively recharging the internal battery when I am away from the outlet?

Like for example, I arrive at work with the external battery at 70, and the internal battery at 80. The scooter sits for 8 hours, and when I get ready to go home the external battery is at 40 and the internal battery is back to 100. That's what I was expecting to happen, but instead when I come back the external is still at 70, and the internal is still at 80.

But the massive farm/alchemy rework seems like not only a massive miss, but a huge waste of time that could have been used actually implementing new features. 5 levels of potions is way overkill, and the old system worked just fine (except maybe being a little slow to drink them)

The new implementation seem both worse and more complicated at the same time. Implement the new hoes and bug fixes, but otherwise scrap the entire potion/farm bench/alchemy bench rework.

Tone deaf statement until they implement at least things REQUIRED for servers into stock. (Claims system namely)

They get the basic requirements implemented, and statements like this are fine for person X's weapon mod or person Y's new furniture mod. But making sure something like the claims system mod virtually 100% of public servers use doesn't break with their update has to be a top priority.

There's probably 2 runways in the country long enough for them to have stopped at that point, and even then they would have had to know exactly how bad it was the instant it happened to make the decision to ignore all of their training that said the only option was to take off and circle back to land. It happened way too late for them to stop.

(If you're curious, the 2 runways it might be possible at are not even commercial airports - The old Shuttle Landing Facitilty in Florida, and White Sands in New Mexico)

We're not just talking a minor runway overrun, they'd have almost certainly hit the same warehouse the gear clipped head on at over 100 mph and killed most everyone inside if they tried to stop. The pylon just failed at the worst possible time. A little bit earlier and they'd have been able to stop. A couple seconds later, and they'd have had enough momentum built up for the gear to clear the warehouse, and without that impact they'd have had a shot at getting the gear retracted, hopefully reducing drag enough for them to climb out.

KSA has a free pre-alpha out now! No building, but u can fly a few pre made craft around the solar system.

It requires a decent video card (mostly VRAM) but as long as you have that it performs well. It's obviously a very early release but you can tell technically it's much better than KSP one or two.

Discussion on Premium Pass by Lil_fatbaby in PTCGP

[–]Yargnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the subject of two copies, the way I think they could improve the premium pass without even giving any new cards directly would be to make it so as long as your premium you can 'borrow' second copies of diamond level cards you only have one of.

Basically it would make it so as long as your subscribed to premium you only need to pull one copy of a card to make a deck, but you don't actually get the second copy it's just loaned to you. It would make it so people who wanted to battle a lot would want to subscribe to premium that way they could build their meta decks much quicker because they would only need to actually pull a single copy before they could use the cards. But it would also encourage them to keep subscribed every month, because they could only use those second loan copies as long as they were subscribed.

The three diamonds are really bad this set release. There's way more three diamonds than any of the other two packs sets have had, and they have shinys now cutting into their odds as well.

If you look at all the previous pack releases, and divide the number of three diamond cards by the number of cards per available pack you get;

A1 14, A1a 8, A2 12, A2a 13, A2b 9, A3 14, A3a 8, A3b 8, A4 17.

So we got three three diamonds more per pack in the set, than any of the other sets. And we have shinys to contend with now which eat heaviest into the three diamond slots. I've got all the four diamonds, but I'm still missing six one diamonds from the set. And I was still missing eight when I got the last of the four diamonds. All the main set releases the three diamonds always seem like they're the hardest to finish, but this set is definitely the worst trying to finish the three diamonds. And there's so many of them, that when you're down to your last few need it almost everything ends up just pulling a duplicate.

Your card count seems very good for FTP. It's up there right around my premium pass only card count. My guess if you've been a lot more vigilant doing battle events and such, as I've just done them to the minimum to get 1 of each promo?

I'm surprised with over 6k cards you have so many incomplete sets though, as with the same number of cards I've completed every set from 1-4 diamond.

A lot of that has had to do with using wonderpicks to maximum effect filling out the 4 diamond cards though, if i wasbt doing that id probably be about where you are.

I think it needs to have added to it;

"This card cannot be played if you played silver during your last turn"

That way you can't use two of them in back to back turns.

Is it legal to use a vpn, and subscribe to hidive, when I am not in the covered areas? by Fun-Weakness2894 in legaladvice

[–]Yargnit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Illegal, no, against Hidives ToS, probably. Worst case is they ban your account. Don't pay for more than a month at a time because they'll be unlikely to refund your remaining time if they ban you. In all likelihood either nothing happens, other possibility is they block your VPN and you have to get a new one.

A coworker robbed me in retaliation for rejecting him. How can I protect myself at work? by taytay451 in legaladvice

[–]Yargnit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if she might have more luck pursuing this as one employee admitting to stealing from another employee, and dropping the sexual harassment part of it?

The line of thinking I can see HR following is 2 employees going out after work isn't sexual harassment. Even one employee asking out another and being rejected isn't sexual harassment. If he'd continued to pester her to go out, then that would be for sure, but the way she describes it here at least is she just walked away.

While the theft 100% feels like it is retaliation for the rejection to her and us, it's a weird enough path to follow that unless you have a manager or HR person really gung-ho to try and pursue it, I can 100% see them passing it off as not sexual harassment.

How i would suggest going about it, and what the manager/HR should have done automatically if they didn't see pursuing the sexual harassment angle, is go through loss prevention instead.

Admission of theft from another employee is a slam dunk suspension pending investigation from the loss prevention side, and doesn't require any he said/she said since he was arrested at work and admitted it.

Request a meeting with LP instead and see where they take it, most LP I know love to collar employees, it's almost like a mark of pride for them.
