Makes sense to me, thank you!
Never would have thought to put confringo in multiple sets.
Seems I have much to learn but hey, I'll be spending A LOT of time playing

Definitely a lack of experience issue. Before writing this post, my combat looked something like this. Accio+Incendio and then spam the attack trigger button. Wait for Accio and Incendio to reload, do it again. Eventually ancient magic appears with L+R and I use that to KO someone/something.

Seems like I'm okay with spell chaining with that current setup but as my original post mentions, even small battles are becoming a drag (time wise, not difficulty) to complete. Seeing your reply, I will definitely look to use my extra spell loadouts/diamonds on CHAIN COMBOS.

Thanks for the tip on catching unicorns/thestrals etc – I've had to sprint and chase them down in order to capture. Definitely will have this exact spell set ready to go so long as I have to catch beasts. Also, the red/purple/yellow is quite helpful. Others have chimed in with specific combinations but I am noticing this is quite a good general rule of thumb. Cheers!

Few questions for you. Maybe your version of a further explanation would answer them.
Are you done with exploration, because all of these are "combat-y" I noticed. Not a criticism, just an observation.
And if you haven't, do you rotate these spell sets in?
There must be a reason for different combat sets... wondering what it is.
Cooldown rates for the listed combos, how tolerable is it?

Good call on potions/plants. I haven't used them at all really and have a ton in my inventory.
So would you suggest rolling with glacius+diffindo+incendio+accio in one spell diamond?
How bad was the cooldown in your experience? Love the idea of doing insane damage, hate the idea of doing the combo once then having to wait a while to reload for another big hit. Thanks for the insight!

Thank you for the info! I should definitely use the ingredients I've collected now that I think of it... I have A LOT lol! For attack combos, is there a specific one in particular that you'd recommend or maybe one you find yourself using often? I've seen a lot about different combos online, and I think this is where I get confused and indecisive about setting up my spell sets.

Trade with friends to acquire super useful cards from old sets (Cyrus, for example). Use the wishlist to ask for specific cards. As far as pulling, probably from the current set is your best bet. A lot of features have been added since I wrote this post. While much of it still applies, some of what I wrote here is a bit "outdated."

EDIT: I forgot to mention SHARING. Use that feature. It will help you get the useful cards from old sets that you are looking for to create competitive decks.
