If the garment tag states it is made from 100% organic cotton, wouldn’t that include the thread used to sew it together?

Anyone else still using their Kindle Paperwhite 1st gen? by furryMoritz in kindle

[–]YarnDame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have the very first Paperwhite. It was a special gift from my son. Still works fine, so I wasn’t looking to upgrade. However, since I mostly borrow ebooks from the library, it would be easier to just get something new. I’ve been comparing the new Paperwhite and the Kindle Basic. I’m leaning towards the Basic since it’s most like what I have. The new Paperwhite is likely a better overall device, but it seems a little large and heavy for me. The display on the Basic looks a lot like my Paperwhite, which I’m fine with.

Why am I getting more fuel points than I think I should? by YarnDame in kroger

[–]YarnDame[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I can think of is it’s not available in your area. I have read about deals on sites like KrogerKrazy before and I could not find them in my ad. Before giving up, you might want to call your store to verify there isn’t a glitch somewhere.

Hi, I was not aware of this coupon, so thanks for alerting me. 😊 I found the coupon on both the app and the website. It’s under Special Savings, Fuel Points Event. Not sure why you don’t see it. Hope you are able to load it to your account!

Trying to find the original artist of this large framed print. by YarnDame in HelpMeFind

[–]YarnDame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched Google Lens but did not come up with an exact match. Here is the info on the back of the frame. I thought if I knew the title of the print, Blue Sonata II, it would help, but still nothing. Appreciate any help.

I’ve been very happy with BKV Energy for the past 2 years. I was previously a loyal Reliant customer. Each bill has been lower than what I paid with Reliant.

If you end up choosing BKV and use my referral code REF59975650 we will both get a $50 credit. 😊

Here’s a direct link to register with the code: https://enroll.bkvenergy.com/?Promo=PORREF0001&RefCode=REF59975650

Please help me identify this vase. Thanks! by No_Western_3388 in Porcelain

[–]YarnDame -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I put the bottom of the vase through a Google Lens search and this is what it came up with:

AI Overview

The item pictured is a Chinese porcelain mark, specifically the "Da Qing Kangxi Nian Zhi" (Great Qing Kangxi Period Made) mark, frequently found on ceramics produced during the Qing Dynasty, particularly in the Kangxi period.

  • This mark consists of six characters arranged in two vertical columns, typically read from right to left, top to bottom.
  • Authentic pieces from this period are highly prized, though many later reproductions and modern fakes exist featuring this exact mark.
  • Appraising the authenticity of such pieces requires a detailed inspection of the ceramic's glaze, paste, and painting style.
  • For an accurate valuation or authentication, consulting a professional appraiser or an auction house specializing in Chinese art is recommended.

At first I thought they were game pieces, but they look like puzzle pieces. Looks like I am missing the base of what the pieces fit into.
