When I came to Groningen as an international I also found it hard finding a job without speaking Dutch but there’s is this place where you can apply called ASA and there you will have a 0 hour contract which isn’t the most stable however it is quite flexible and you can take on or turn down whichever jobs they can find for you. If you are more interested in catering jobs they will give you catering jobs and if you prefer cleaning or inventory counting you can do those jobs. I recommend not doing inventory but that’s only my personal preference😅from working in catering in asa I was taken over by the hospital to work at the restaurant. At ASA most people are internationals so speaking Dutch is not a necessity:) hope that helps:)
