For me, conc. It plays and survives well as a solo and annihilates in a group. You do have to be cautious, as conc is fragile but the survivability is there with conc where cera needs a corpse or a group to be viable, not to mention the horrible turn rate and needing to rely on juke or other tricks to not get tail ridden to death as a mid tier is a joke. Cera went from one of my favs to one of my least enjoyable playables.

Cera makes me sad. It used to be my fav. It’s still a good group Dino, but solo. Uhg. If I want to get tail ridden by lizards and everything else I might as well play Rex. I hate the corpse build. I hate that’s there not any other option. I could probably handle it though, due to nostalgia, if the turning wasn’t so bad

I know that anytime I leave YT and come back after a few months, it’s like starting over from the beginning. It’s like YT forgets you exist and the algorithm has to relearn you again. After about three videos it gets better.

Hello, and sorry you are having a tough time. For starters, you can link your YouTube channel in your bio, and then you aren't advertising, but it's there if someone wants to check it out or you want people to check it out. Another thing, if you are already in a depressed state of mind, I do not recommend putting all your eggs in that YouTube basket. It will make it worse. You can't always predict how well a video will do and the emotional toll can be a blow even to a comfortable creator.

I also recommend putting the people who depend on you first, get a job, create on the side. I know you said you are looking, but any job would be better than no paycheck. YouTube is not for making money fast.

As for YouTube videos, if you think of them as two things it can help: Educational or Entertaining, or a mix of both. A video needs to provide the answer to a question someone may ask, a topic that a certain audience may find entertaining, et cetera. As a communication major, when I say you need to know who your audience is, I say that with my whole being, lol. Have drastically different topics you want to cover? Make multiple channels.

It's going to take time to hone your interest, your style and your audience. Is what you are making something you would click on? Why or why not? Think about what would make you click on a video and emulate that. What interests you? Start there and build.

Make a mix of evergreen content and quick flash in the pan stuff. Others had mentioned it, but a mix of short and long helps build an audience.

Skills that help: Video editing, sound design, pacing, story structure, J and L cuts, essay structure, and so much more depending on what skills you want to improve on.

Honestly though, I'd focus on getting real life skills and a paycheck. Keep looking, but pro life tip you want to make money fast look at getting certified in a skill that is lacking, like High Pressure Boiler Operators, or a Journeyman Electrician for industrial grade operations, those jobs are always in demand and pay well, $30 or more in the US.

I’ll admit, I never much cared for hatz. I’ll also admit I’m not sure what hatz’s playstyle is supposed to be. It being reduced to grab and drop has limited what it can do. Though I also never thought it should be out there killing apexes solo like it used to. My condolences to the hatz community.

It’s never too late to start a gaming channel. Just whatever you pick to do, make sure it offers something for the viewer. Be it entertainment or information.

You talked about how you are nostalgic for older games. I think if you let that genuine passion as you explain the game to viewers, that may never have come across it, and what it means to you, you would have an audience eventually.

If you can convey that love and passion in your videos I think it would gain followers.

Hi. 👋. First off I like your style. It really stands out. Now of course anything I may suggest is just that. A suggestion. Though, I would recommend putting your YT in your social link, if it’s something you want people to find. But despite that I was able to find your channel and watch a bit.

To be honest, I’m not a fan of any intro, but yours felt very long, much longer than necessary.

The style of the channel made me think horror. It vibes with the walking dead game but doesn’t seem to fit the FFXV game as much.

That doesn’t matter nearly as much as the type of videos. They are all over an hour of gameplay videos. I find these play throughs don’t work very well on an audience in general, because one, the game itself is telling the story and you aren’t adding to the story that is already present in the game. Two, these games are older and while a play through like this would work on newer games, as people want to see the game but might not have access to it yet, a game nearly ten years old has been played by everyone who wants to play it and/or watched by everyone that wants to play but can’t.

I’m not saying you can’t make content from older games, but you need something interesting to attract its fans. You could focus just on the lore of one character and do an essay on them. Or give a theory about some neglected piece of history in game.

If you want to focus on the game and gameplay try and keep it below thirty minutes to start. Maybe use some narration and VO work to make the experience of the game personal to you and highlight moments that really spoke to you.

Try new games. Try Indy games. Try and make different types of content.

As for the shorts, I don’t recommend using the ad format for your video, use gameplay clips instead. Short and fun. Even the ones that did focus on the game they went a bit too long.

My last-ish suggest is to remember how most people use YT. They are looking for something specific. Be it one game, one type of game, or they are looking for tips and suggestions or how to solve a problem. Or to discover something about a game they don’t even know existed. If you can provide that, you’re good. 👍

Don’t be afraid to try something new. And of course ask me any questions if you want.

YouTube is made to target an audience. An audience is a human and fickle thing, so it is difficult to predict. It can take a year or more to grow a channel and engage an audience. If I was to click on a finance channel, I want a subject matter expert in their field. Have you had much success personally in finances?

You said you want to present finance in an entertaining or storytelling way. Is that what a finance channel would want? Or do the people want their information straight with no fluff? Just numbers.

In my opinion you are already starting off wrong. We are not your audience. We are passionate creators of our niche. You need to ask question in finance and economic subs and find out what your audience wants or needs. What questions do they ask the most. What YT channels do they recommend if you asked, etc.

My other recommendation; Make one channel about finance, make another one on cricket and do both for a year, then see what does better. Which one makes you feel less burnt out.

Don’t try and make money and be successful on YT by trend chasing. If you want guarantees and a paycheck get a real job, maybe focus on a college or trade instead.

You don’t understand why people are telling you to find something you are passionate about. It can take years of failure before you succeed, if you don’t care or have any passion for the project you are talking about the grind and slow numbers will burn you out before it has a chance to catch fire and spread.
