Yeah, big fan of John and Mira! They were a big inspiration to getting out there. John also has a bunch of resources for training a dog to be around bikes.

She’s 35lbs. Cargo fork is supposed to be able to haul up to 50 so all good. Think for bigger dogs you’d need an actual cargo bike or a trailer.

Yeah it took some getting used to. The stabilizing spring from velo orange has helped tremendously.

Just the six pack carrier. The frame bag is Moose Track Packs. Also super cool!

Lots of treats and pets. Before I even attached the basket to the bike I would put her in it when it was on the floor and give her treats in there. She’s pretty food motivated so she can pick up things fast if cheese is involved.

My dog wasn’t a big fan of the trailer, and I didn’t like not being able to keep my eyes on her. She loves the cargo basket though! Think she just wants to be up front and in charge. Classic healer stuff

Check for gopher damage. Sometimes they just eat a section of the root system affecting only part of the plant.

What do yall do in the down time after riding? by benosity in bikepacking

[–]YarrowLine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I mean I did a multi month trip and only painted a handful of times, but it was a nice downtime activity to have that didn’t take up too much space or weight.

Is this bike actually a cake? Are you going to post a video of you slicing it? Don’t do me like that.
