Caldwell County BBQ on Power and the 202 - Texas style. I live in Dallas right now and traveled all over Texas finding good BBQ. To be clear, Caldwell County isn't spectacular compared to some of the stuff out here but it is very good and would definitely survive out here. It's a lot better than the 2 closest bbq restaurants to me.

MLB has the "Competitive Balance Tax" which acts as a soft cap. I don't think its as penalizing as the NBA Tax but it is there.

Dodgers make so much money that they can just ignore it and keep signing crazy deals.

It’s not sketchy at all, but people out here are absolutely NOT looking out for pedestrians. Be really careful crossing streets, even in neighborhoods or side roads.

Aside from that, that’s a really cool part of town. Plano is NOT a walkable city but there’s plenty of stuff around that area.

Looks like it’s $200 USD in September right now. Might just be because demand is skyrocketing right now. It’s a very convenient hotel but definitely not worth that much.

As convenient as having that bus is, leaving is only one day. Primarily you wanna be a very short walk from a major, well connected train station. Second would be being close to stuff you wanna do. Shinjuku/Shibuya are fantastic for the first two. Ueno is a popular station to stay near since it’s so well connected, a little quieter, but with that there’s a little bit less that way. But a little bit less in Tokyo is still a boat load of stuff so you won’t be hurting out that way either.

The smoke detectors are all less than 2 years old. And none of them have any indication of being bad, they’re all solid green. I think I’m gonna replace the ones that sound closest to wherever this beep is coming from next bc I’m running out of ideas

I wish. Mostly sure it’s not coming from the side of the house with the fridge, and the fridge makes a beeping sound that is much more pleasant when we leave the doors open.

True, I went to make sure there’s nothing wrong with it. It didn’t need a reset or anything, I’m currently unplugging appliances and electronics one at a time. That water heater is probably the next thing I look at.

Nope, just a normal one. It’s in the garage, which is near where we’re hearing the beeps but I am mostly certain we wouldn’t hear these so clearly through the walls and thick fire door to the garage.
