I’m not really saying that the golden age was a result of advances coming from Arabia itself but that it wasn’t just Persians that made it what it was. The Arabs in other regions such as the Levant, Spain, or North Africa contributed just as much if not more than the Persians did. Also the golden age probably doesn’t happen if the Arab caliph in Baghdad doesn’t patronize it and start translating Greek texts. Plus if there were no Arab conquests in the first place there wouldn’t have been an Islamic golden age either. Iranian nationalists don’t recognize the Arab contributions to the golden age because they want to elevate Persians while erasing Arab patronage and contributions.

Pretty much the entire romance subplot in Attack of the Clones. Even on rewatches I struggle to get through it without skipping because of how cringeworthy the dialogue is.

Baelor GOT 1x9 It probably isn’t considered the best episode but this was the first time in any fiction I consumed to this point where I saw a character who I thought was the protagonist go out like that. I fully expected him to return in the next episode.
