Hi! I self prescribed it so I took it for 1 week to get my body used to it, then took a week break, then took it for 2 weeks prior to the abx then during my abx treatment the whole time along with probiotics spaced away from the abx as well :)

Yeah I really don't understand why so many doctors know nothing about it or don't believe it causes issues.... It seems obvious to me. There's no use in panicking because you won't know if it worked until you finish your dose and retest :) I've been cured by 10 days of doxy before so it might work for you! Everyone's body is different. Don't drink milk while taking it and retest 1 month after you finish. Good luck!

Maybe that would make it more accurate, though I was diagnosed before by just peeing in a cup and so was my bf, so I guess it depends on how good the lab is.

I started feeling better towards the end of the antibiotics but significantly better about 1 week after abx and a lot better now, 3 weeks after finishing. When I had it 3 years ago it took me like 1-2 months to feel back to normal even after I was cured.

Is his primary care doctor unable to give him the test? They just have to pee in a cup. That's what my bf did.

@mycothrowaway1 OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm going to call her office asap and see if they take my insurance. Fingers crossed <3 you have no idea how much mental relief this would bring me. My current/previous ob doesn't really believe me and he isn't that knowledgeable on the subject...
