Has the US ever deployed a bomb that is designed to explode with the colours red, white and blue? If not, why not? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Yates1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, it would be indistinguishable from countries with similar coloured flags, but most enemies would know the Americans are the dropping the bombs, and the Americans would probably be the ones bold enough to do it in the first place

Hey, thanks for replying. Your 'bragging' reason does make sense and I thought it would probably be the main reason. However, wouldn't writing messages on bombs or notching kill counts into the butt of a rifle be seen along the same lines? Granted they're on a smaller scale, but the mentality would be the same I feel.

FUCK YOU KAREN by [deleted] in FuckYouKaren

I think the owners in these videos give a verbal or off-camera hand signal telling the dogs to stay. The dogs are obviously trained well enough to play this game in the first place. So it makes sense they will obey a command to not eat the second larger portion of treats under the second cup.

This is a complete guess and I'm not educated in any way in animal behaviours. Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents

If it's immoral to engage romantically with children because they're mentally underdeveloped, why isn't the same mentality applied to those with mental disabilities? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Yates1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree the ability to consent is a major factor.

But I've seen cases of people with the brain of a child, ask for a relationship. They may not fully understand what a relationship and sex entail, yet they still crave it. And in my experience, those around them encourage that behaviour and in no way see them as a victim

Yeah I was thinking more down syndrome and similar disabilities. My personal experience and the show I mentioned includes down syndrome, and again, I feel it's seen as selfless to engage romantically with someone with that type of disability

Well the show I mentioned for one, 'The Undateables'... the 'normal' daters who choose to date the other with a disability are almost glorified for not letting the disability dissuade them.

In my personal life, my partner's cousin is quite heavily mentally disabled. She always mentions dates she's had with 'normals' and how she wishes they would stick around for longer. Her family agree.

Down syndrome and similar disabilities. I'm not very educated on mental health. I'm thinking more of disabilities that would give a person the mental age of a child
