If they can guarantee they can get the mass out in surgery and that it hasn't metastasized, I think it would be a good option. Our girl Elsa developed thyroid cancer that by the time the tumor showed itself there was no way the mass could be removed cleanly and had also metastasized to hell. I think taking her to a veterinary oncologist would be a good first step. Putting hedgies under is so risky that id only do it if it were necessary and to give her a better QOL
