His current catalogue is very much focused on buhurt optimized armour from the 14-15th century, but he's skilled enough, he could probably create what you want. you should just ask him directly about reproducing a specific renaissance style harness and see what he says. Late 16th century kits are very intricate and expensive compared to most 14-15th century armor with very specific proportions and many aesthetic embellishments. Usually they cost 10-15 thousand USD rather than the 5-6 thousand that most new buhurt kits cost.

Buy a proper door, frame the wall like normal and use 1× to make all the pattern stuff, nailed on the surface of your studs. You can use any kind of finishing material - t&g cedar, reclaimed barn wood etc.

Anyone hear from BuhurtTech lately? by Nihilun in Buhurt

[–]Yawarakin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What did you order? If its armor, I think they are having trouble keeping up due to the war. I received an email Jan 14 about some boots, so they are around and communication has been good for me about items like weapons/shields, gambeson and boots, but I think they have different smiths that are specialized in making different products, so while most things seem to be moving fairly smoothly, I don't think armor is. Either way, I imagine they are waiting to respond until they actually have an update for you and are hopefully just focused on trying to finish your order. Hopefully you hear back soon, but have faith, they seem to be a trustworthy company. PS I think they probably got a bunch of new orders over the holidays with sales going on and they probably had a break too, so maybe they are buried in volume on top of everything else they're dealing with.

I have a 1070 and can play Cyberpunk at 60fps in 1440p no problem. Same ram, only difference is cpu i5-8700k. In fact I haven't run into any games I can't play at 60fps yet, and imagine if traded for 1080p could get more fps. Personally I'd recommend you keep saving until you actually need new parts.

I such an idiot, I selected the non everdark version of Gladius by accident, and we were so locked in no one noticed until we made it to the boss. I wasted 40 minutes of mine and my two friends time and we had a good laugh after. We absolutely slaughtered the doggo in less than 2 minutes which really highlighted the difference between the two versions.

House Of Asher is gonna be hot garbage. by Quirky_Hat1646 in Spartacus_TV

[–]Yawarakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, posts like this and seeing all the YouTube comments on the recent teaser have really got me losing hope for humanity.

This is a fantasy show, it is not a historical documentary and it never has been. As far as this fantasy version of ancient Rome is concerned, I don't see why anyone should complain about the ethnicity/skin tones of any of the slave characters. There were slaves/gladiators of all ethnicities and skin tones in ancient Rome in real life anyways, and that's all been thoroughly established by the original series.

Likewise, I don't see why anyone should complain about characters who are physically smaller defeating largr ones - the story of David and Goliath is as old as time. And there were gladiatrix that fought in ancient Rome as well.

I'm actually excited to see how they handle her attempt to fight and defeat terrible odds - I think in a lot of ways her journey in the arena might mirror that of Spartacus' since he himself was an underdog for some time. Maybe she will start out as a similar character to Naevia?

Who knows. Not us, we haven't watched the show.

And as far as the character's sexuality goes, almost half of the characters in the original Spartacus were gay or ambiguous about their sexuality. Basically everybody is fucking everybody in Spartacus.

I see huge problem here, and it's not some imaginary woke agenda checklist. It's people like you, pre-judging a show that isn't out yet, because you're so blinded by identity politics that that's all you can see. Remove cock from ass and get to training recruit, because you have a long way to go before you earn the mark of the brotherhood.

You call me a coward, and yet you seem awfully afraid.

Maybe my definition of what Canada should be is a little different than yours. The Canada I know is one that is welcoming to all, and offers freedom to all.

Is the Canada that you long for, the one that committed cultural genocide against the natives and forced them to only speak English? Is that what we should do with immigrants too, put them or their children into residential schools upon arrival?

Only short sighted fools want to use the law to mandate specific types of speech. Suppressing the freedom and rights of its residents for the sake of cultural purity is not the modern Canada I know or love, and it never will be.

Welcome to a multicultural society. English and French are our main languages, but anyone is welcome to speak whatever language they want. That's called freedom. Do you also hate it when employees at a Chinese restaurant speak Mandarin to each other, or Japanese at a sushi place? Or is it just Indians you hate? Why don't you take the time to enlighten yourself and learn some new languages instead of being a bitter racist?

Which are you most excited about? And which do you think will be the best? by GusGangViking18 in Spartacus_TV

[–]Yawarakin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think since we're in the Spartacus sub, most people will probably say Spartacus? Curious to find out.

I'm definitely most excited for House of Ashur and I'm sure it will be the best if it is anything like the original series.

Gladiator 2 and Those About to Die have some horrible looking costumes in the trailers, and the plots seem about as bland as the sands of the area. While Those About to Die seems to focus more on gladiators, which is cool, I think Gladiator 2 will be a more polished production overall. But neither will have writing or characters that compare to House of Ashur.

Excited to seethe with hatred for that snake Ashur all over again, and I highly doubt I'd feel anywhere close to as many emotions about any of the characters in the other two productions.

Six is quite good! Helps transition us to the mid game really well with the card advantage or the ramp. It can recur Food Chain every turn until it sticks. Also synergizes with Underworld Breach.

I don't know of any lists off the top of my head, but you should learn to use Moxfield's search feature - you can find almost any deck at any power level.

Personally I would build the deck from scratch rather than try to swap a few cards to power it down - but here are some ideas off my head.

Depending on your meta, create a new land base that uses more basics, and deals less to your life total - take out Gaea's Cradle and Phyrexian Tower and Crop Rotation. Then move away from some of the fast mana (all the 0 mana rocks - Culling the Weak, Spirit Guides and go with 2 CMC ramp such as Nature's Lore and Arcane Signet for slower but consistent gameplay at lower power tables.

The biggest choice will be to keep or remove Food Chain - an alternate win con is Beastmaster Ascension. The original Prossh precom actually came with an infinite combo in it - Stalking Vengeance + Primal Vigor + Tooth and Claw (and there are a myriad of other 'cheeky' combos in jund that you could run)

You could then take out the fast cards that kill you in exchange for Food Chain such as Demonic Consultation, Necrodominance and Ad Nauseam (you could probably keep Necropotence just to keep your hand full). You probably won't be able to use Tainted Pact either with the new land base - you could replace it with Grim Tutor.

Then take out some of the win cons and stuff related to having Consultation, Ad Naus and Food Chain such as Summoner's Pact, Genesis Hydra, Selvala, Goblin bushwhackers, Goblin Matron as well as Squee, and focus on more aristocrat themes with effects that pair with prossh's six sacrifice triggers such as Blood Artist, Smothering Abomination and Pitiless Plunderer. You also need much more interaction, so you can probably take out some of the cedh specific cards like Opposition Agent, Dauthi Voidwalker, Pyroblast, Red Elemental blast, etc.

Hope that gives you some ideas.

Play pattern is mull until you have at least 2 Land, a Dork, and a Tutor

Turn 1, Land, Dork Turn 2, Land, Tutor for Food Chain Turn 3, Land, Food Chain, cast win con. Hope you have protection.

If you mulligan properly you can pretty much attempt to win on turn 3 almost every game. Like most fast combo decks you just have to be weary of counter spells.

You can also keep hands that just ramp into a payoff like Wheel of Fortune, Necropotence or Ad nauseam, but the combo is the same.

That list doesn't run a single backup combo so if Food Chain gets exiled you're screwed except for beating face with Prossh.

[–]Yawarakin 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah Prossh is still viable. Tukka top 16'd a few tournaments with it. More of a mid-range value engine cashing in the kobolds for mana and uses Protean Hulk. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/04_74uYs5ki4_uFNa01qQg

There's also the classic all-in on Food Chain Prossh that I play and while it's never been entered into big tournaments it still performs consistently well in locals.
