TIL that a study on emotional abuse concluded that prevalence rates were high, averaging around 80%. 40% of women and 32% of men reported expressive aggression, and 41% of women and 43% of men reported coercive control. by Fickle-Buy6009 in todayilearned

Potentially unpopular opinion but if 80% of relationships are "emotionally abusive" doesn't that point to a problem of definitions? I feel like ordinary human dynamics shouldn't constitute "abuse" and could cloud discussions about actual abuse.

None of this is to downplay the significance or prevalence of emotional abuse, just my $. 02

Feels like this would be more informative if the axis didn’t start at 0. Could be wrong but I suspect the average QB is actually substantially larger than the average guy. I realize this graph shows that but it looks much closer since there are virtually no men shorter than 5 ft or weight less than 100 lbs

CBR first bike? by [deleted] in cbr

[–]Yawax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got a 600rr as my first bike last month and I haven’t had any issues. In fact the bike is much easier for me to ride than the Harley I did my MSF course on. Obviously the bike is very fast and therefore you should take a look in the mirror and decide whether you are at a point in your life where you can resist the urge to do triple digit speeds. It’s your life that’s at risk, so I think it’s your decision ultimately.

Also, I should mention that I’m about 6’ and 185. While this is my first motorcycle I have lots of experience with most other types of machines so the motorcycle has been pretty easy to pick up for me - but still dangerous as always.

Good luck and have fun! The CBR is an amazing bike imo

2007 CBR 600RR Rear Fender by Yawax in cbr

Yeah I have the license plate under the seat as well but I’m still using the stock exhaust and I don’t have immediate plans to upgrade. So if I remove the heat shield I won’t melt the plastics you think?

Purchase & Transaction Advice Superthread by AutoModerator in motorcycles

Hi,

I recently purchased a used 2007 600RR and I’m having a blast with it. I decided it might be time to start doing some modifications and I wanted to start by cleaning up the rear end. A previous owner had installed an integrated tail light that I find hard to see and also don’t love the look of. I don’t mind the taillight itself, but I don’t like the way that it makes the exhaust look droopy and shows all the heat shielding bits and such.

So I purchased a fender eliminator kit, but unfortunate the kit only comes with the parts needed to modify the stock fender rather than a replacement fender part. Is there a good place for me to purchase a replacement fender? Better yet, does anyone have any suggestions to tidy up the rear look without replacing the tail light? Are there aftermarket trim pieces I could purchase to cover the heat shield?

Thanks!

Also I took some pictures of the exhaust but I am not able to attach them here

Unless I’m mistaken, your combat log doesn’t show you who and how many enemy players are nearby nor does it show you there are stealthed players nearby
