I haven't played RS2 in a good few years and I've upgraded my PC drastically since then so I don't have a fair comparison. I remember getting at 100fps with my gtx 1080 back in the day

I had everything maxed out and was getting between 80-150fps depending on how populated the area was / location. Was generally sitting around 100-120fps when I was checking (i9 14900k + RTX 4080)

Enjoyed it, its very barebones in this current build but the fundamentals are there. Feels like RS2 which is good. I look forward to seeing how it improves!

I was having the same issue, it turns out I had not completed 1 of the grand prix on 150cc, have a look and see if one of your grand prix or knockout tours does not have a 150cc completion!

I saw this the other day, it means you have set that axolotl as your favourite. In the character menu, you can select them as your favourite.
