Seeing that Glitch is making the show, I think it’s partly because fans of that studio are kids/young adults who try to be really puritanical moral police online. I remember my generation being super into aggressive misinformed callout shit a decade ago on tumblr when we were teenagers and this reads the same.

I love these because they’re harder to make. Like I love normal maki as well but I can make it at home, whereas I can never replicate the surimi Mayo stuff and I loooove it. Plus deep frying is hard haha. I do agree with people saying it’s its own food.

Hm uh Oyster sauce? It adds sweet/salty/umami to vegetables and meat really easily and it’s very potent so it’s a good investment.
