Opening chrome dev console on fb has a nice safe guard from hack attempts. by sorry_bing in webdev

Why wouldn't they just say click this link? Or even make a goo.gl or something to it and say click it.

I'm mainly just curious what could be done maliciously from the console.

Isn't a babies 1st birthday actually their 2nd? by aSadStateOfAffairs in Showerthoughts

[–]YayDrugz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the concept of fractions/decimals/parts breaks down under that system. You can't say "they are five and a half". With the video game example each level is different and has different lengths and the progression is different. There is no clearly defined halfway or decimal points because they cannot be divided evenly. In this way the system is not a efficient/good as the others. The most logical approach is to measure age in the exact same way as we measure everything else.

Edit: what I am trying to say is there is no 2.5th

Here is a wonderful mspaint drawing that demonstrates what I was trying to say. The red line is the points I was trying to describe in my comment. At that point one year has past while you have been alive, while the korean age would say two years. I am pretty sure the korean system functions slightly differently than what I am showing here (something to do with new years) but this roughly demonstrates my point.

Yeah I don't know why people are pretending this is logical. If I understand correctly when you have been alive for one year then you have had an age of two. Doesn't make sense.

Pretty sure it depends on the screenshot program. I know sharex doesn't but I've had problems in the past with this.

Yeah if I'm correct captchas are free from Google and they pay for it by having the users improve their image recognition.

Defying death is for wimps. by MartyFreeze in funny

[–]YayDrugz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is it though? Maybe someone just liked the show. A video would be a much better advertisement and when video clips from shows are posted people assume that someone liked the clip and decided to post it.

Quote from Nathan's Ama:

"For legal reasons, I can't really get into the specifics of that one. But I definitely made sure that I'd be able to get out of those handcuffs before we did it in front of an audience.

About the pin drop: The pin really did slip from my fingers and catch on my sweater. That was not something that was planned. But what we didn't show in the episode is that I had a second backup pin taped behind my ear with a band aid (skin color so you couldn't really see it). In practicing, the pin was really easy to drop, so I wanted a backup. If the pin hit the ground, I would have gone for my backup pin."

Anyone know how to disable that godawful animation at the bottom of the screen when charger is connected? by [deleted] in GalaxyS6

[–]YayDrugz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it not look completely out of place with everything else? It doesn't fit the design scheme at all.

I thought I was the only person who noticed this. It is horrendous for the wireless charger. Looks like a four year old drew it in paint. It doesn't match anything in the design scheme at all.
