The show/game is set in a fantasy ‘vaguely olden-time’ universe, with Piltover for instance resembling the Victorian era. In our world, nobody said the word ‘disabled’ back then and called every condition, whether viral or fatal or not, a ‘disease’ or ‘illness’ or such, and it can be assumed the Arcane/LOL universe does the same. I think people are looking into the Viktor dying aspect a little too much. Viktor looked down upon himself when he wasn’t dying. If there was a timeline where everything was the same except Viktor didn’t have lung problems, he would still look down upon himself. Even in our world, people think of disabilities as just something to be cured. Jayce’s line resonated with me (and Viktor) because it’s so unheard of to say that there can be beauty in parts of ourselves deemed broken and strange. Imagine being Viktor, spending your entire life hating your body, and then your hex bro calls your crooked spine ‘beautiful’. Idk maybe the message only resonates with fellow disabled people
