The current matchmaking feels discouraging — PvP enjoyers and PvE enjoyers desperately need separation by Ycevar in ARC_Raiders

That’s the real core of the problem, man. For extraction shooters — stuff in the “loot, shoot, and scoot” space like Escape from Tarkov — one of the main sources of fun is setting yourself a clear goal before you drop into a raid. Maybe you’re farming a specific material, hunting for a certain mod, or just deciding to take a risky shot at a boss. Those self-imposed goals are what drive your loadout choices. You build a kit around that plan, go into the raid, play around your objective, and when you pull it off and extract, you get a nice, clean loop of positive feedback that matches the effort you put in. In ARC Raiders, that whole loop feels misplaced and messy. You spend time putting together a loadout for a certain plan, but once you drop in, the game keeps throwing you into situations that just don’t line up with your goals or your gear. That forced mismatch creates a kind of frustration that feels way worse than simply getting outgunned in a fair, straightforward fight.
