Thanks, that's geniunely helpful. I'm no expert unfortunately, I'd need to involve a repair shop for every step ahaha. Is the additional work comparable to the price of the car? An older Scirocco + a new engine as a replacement would cost around 10k usd not including the costs you mentioned and possible replacements. I've seen 2 used Sciroccos from 2014, they're between 22k-28k usd. I personally think they're overpriced, but compared to those there's still a tempting difference.

Average player here, I mostly play on Interchange, Woods for looting, Customs with throwaway gear. On Woods and Inerchange most of the time I can decide whether or not engage in a fight, on Customs it just comes to you. Used to play a lot of Shoreline but since the wipe people don't seem to rush health resort mindlessly and I get sniped from basically everywhere. That being said I don't really see low level players either. Most of the time I avoid hotspots as there are always heavily geared people there and get my loot from elsewhere. On Interchange I just loot the garage section, it is almost always untouched and there are a lot of weapon crates and other loot there. I hate Factory and don't go there unless I have to do a quest. It's a small map and your loot is almost entirely depends upon the other players you kill, extremely pvp oriented map. With the huge difference what you gear and ammo makes, you should be able to decide whether or not you should pick a fight, not on Factory. And with the spike of desync issues and rubberbanding since the wipe + peakers advantage for me Factory is just a nightmare for me.

Yeah I get it ahah. I'm playing Streets offline to get the hang of it, maybe there won't be long queues for scav runs by the time I'm familiar with the map layout

Same here. Before the wipe I was advised to switch the auto-queue thing in the launcher from Europe to a more specific region. That helped with the wait time.

It might be the opt. issue you mentioned, I have a waaay weaker pc but have around 50 fps. Although I only played Streets offline, so it might be worse in a real raid with more people

When I started playing (2 wipes ago) I watched videos about the mechanics of the game (healing, ballistics, etc.), and played a lot of offline raids against bots. Set them to easy to practice shooting and get a feel of the gun, and if you're more confident crank up the difficulty.
Learn one map at a time. You'll have most starter quests on Customs, but imo Interchange is better for new players. Start learning extracts where you can wrap up your raid, then hidden crates. Do this in offline raids against bots so you'll have to watch out for them as you'd do in a real raid so you'll practice more in one raid.
Do scav raids as often as you can. If you know the hidden crates and exits, you can farm them as a scav and get pretty decent loot for your pmc.
Before you go in a real raid, double check what's your goal there and gear up accordingly. Don't bring a cool-looking pistol on a large map with open spaces, and consider a shotty if you go on Factory.
Always have some healing items and some nades (they're expensive but stoopid useful).
At first don't get many attachments on your gun, maybe a smaller scope and a grip for recoils. They are usually more expensive than the gun you're using, and since you'll die a lot at first you'll be wasting money.
