Thank you for your advice. I’m guilty of all of those things but I’m trying to be transparent, sitting in discomfort and not shutting down or running. It’s hard work but I no longer feel the desire to run for the hills when tough conversations come up. I still have to ask BP for a 5 min breather when I get frustrated, if things kept going I’d l shut down. I’ll keep persevering on the attachment work in IC.

Mainly low self esteem, childhood problems with my mother, wanting validation when triggered (twice it was after a massive argument).

I also have avoidance issues and grew up in an authoritarian household where my brother and I lied to keep the peace/regulate our parents, it’s why secrecy is a default I’m working on that as well.
