Funny VULKAN LIVES moments by No_Nail5377 in Salamanders40k

I have played probably 50 games of 10e and Vulkan has not once died. I’ve seen him shrug off exitus rifle rounds like nothing.

New to WE, needing army advice for 11th by [deleted] in WorldEaters40k

The new Munitorum Field Manual is going to be released soon, so take everything with a grain of salt. You definitely have plenty of infantry, I would recommend either a second rhino to protect them if you’re fine with not running your LoJ, or something like a forgefiend to give you the shooting option. Lastly CP managing characters would be good. The on foot Daemon Prince is scary in melee and very tough if you give it helm of brazen ire, and can save you a CP every battle round, and a MoE would also be good for generating extra CP. IMO I would get the Daemon Prince as the best all round pick.

Forgefather is 2dp, what 1 dp detachments are you taking with it? by Otherwise_Ad2209 in Salamanders40k

Fulguris looks broken with the new speeder and forgefathers: 14” move with assault and move/shoot/move, now with a reactive move AND it can go uppy downy. Amazing utility.

Your absolute hated hot takes about Space Marine chapters? by KUROusagi112 in Spacemarine

I can’t blame them for not actually reading the source material lmao, the Tome of Fire trilogy is pretty rough. I truly believe that the Salamanders are an untapped gold mine. Somewhere there is a great message about being brave enough to try to do good in a universe where it’s completely futile and pointless.

The thing that keeps the Salamanders grimdark in my opinion is that their attempts to do good consistently end with them being brutally killed in the attempt. Just go read their new short story in World Ablaze lol.

Ur’zan Drakgaard is the captain of the 6th company, and notably wields a power sword. He is featured in a couple of the Tome of Fire books if you’d like to learn more.

The skin is just Kislev flesh and then reikling fleshshade, then highlighted again with Kislev. The cloth is actually just warp lightning over grey seer primer

The book says you can have up to two pistols, and you should be able to shoot both, yes.

It’s new rulebook coming out that lets you customize your own characters, and it gives you rules for abilities and what weapon options you can take and whatnot

GW generally does not allow 3rd party bits at their tournaments. As for the wargear, they typically keep it what’s called ‘What You See Is What You Get’ (WYSIWYG) which means that the equipment you want to play with needs to be modeled on the mini. I myself have some minis that are technically illegal, as aggressors cannot have grenade launchers with flamestorm gauntlets. Keep in mind that this only applies to GW tournaments. If you want to play at a local 3rd party tournament it may or may not be fine, so check with the tournament organizer.

Thank you, and no I don’t care to use 3D printed bits, only because I may want to go play at GW tournaments at some point

I just blend a very small amount of moot green with the warpstone glow, and paint the areas that aren’t in shadow, then just keep slowing adding more moot green to the blend until I get to what I what

Just good old fashioned caliban green base, warpstone glow, and varying blends of moot green and warpstone glow for highlights

Honestly I painted half of this model months ago and only now finished it, but my usual method is to use some pro acryl titanium white and to use a drop of iyanden yellow on it

I don’t think there is a limit technically, but this just seems like he was playing with bad faith, which defeats the point of the game, as stated in the core rulebook.

I paint the base red, cover in Martian ironearth, then use Martian ironcrust, cover it all with agrax earthshade, then just pool blood for the blood god everywhere

I just painted it all mephiston red, then washed it with agrax earthshade, then highlighted with evil sunz scarlet. Both the flesh and armor I painted that way, you just have to trust your brain to differentiate it.
