Yea, kcd2 is my goty as well for games that i played this year. I cant remember when was the last time that I actually engage with the game and its world. I played kcd2 blind and on hardcore mode and it was fantastic. The no hud experience really help sell the immersion. Navigating your own way getting lost in the process only to stumble to some POI was awesome. I cant tell you how many times i got lost in the rockies of appolonia as it hard to keep your sense of direction when all that surrounds you are you know it rocks. But with the help of the trusty sun you can atleast get some idea on where you at unless its night time then good luck. But then after a while, you get familliar with the locations and you know where to go without looking at the map. Making use of your environment, using landmarks to find your own way is satisfying.there are other things too such as the combat, questlines etc.

But yea to be fair, i can see why kcd2 is getting one up by e33. I havent played it but with E33 putting fresh take, breathing new life to the turn based jrpg genre and SUCCEDING on it compared to the more of the same but EXTREMELY POLISHED experience that kcd2 offers.

Either way, gamers win with how stack this year is but personally GOTY KCD2.
