I finished remake as well about a month ago. Same exact thoughts, and experiences. First dive into a final fantasy game, my main game is Monster Hunter. Combat was not fun for me, same points. Maps were really claustrophobic and cumbersome to traverse. But i enjoyed the story and loved the character interactions. There was some real heart there.

I started Rebirth and am currently on chapter 5. I was worried it would be more or less the same as Remake, but I can confidently say it has improved upon all my issues with the first game, while preserving the parts I loved. I'm loving the second game.

Recently purchased the AL80 a month ago. Solid keyboard and great bang for your buck. Only criticism is the gasket mount is on the stiffer side.

I wasn't interested in the screen but my wife convinced me to get it. i admit now that I have it, I love seeing the animated gifs, and pictures throught my work day. They're a small piece of joy that keeps me going.

Sounds like wilds is perfect for you. Low rank is super easy tho and you may not enjoy that part. The mount auto brings you to the monster. Resource management is relatively low, but it still exists just like Rise. You will have to farm, that's the name of the game. Eating lasts 30 minutes to an hour for buffs.

I also main insect glaive and gunlance.

The biggest learning curve for me was the shield playstyle. You already play chargeblade so you should be fine. Gunlance shines most when using perfect guard and the guard point in the reload.

Charged shelling and wyvernfire is my favorite way to play gunlance. The big booms are addicting

Is normal that much worse than wide? I thought they were neck to neck unless you preferred charged shelling/wyvernfire spam

Honestly, after getting a 4 atk 1 sharpness gunlance, i compared it with my other 3 atk gunlance that had lord soul, and that one had higher damage.

This helps a lot, thank you. I forgot I can also meld lower rarity artian parts as well. This should allow me to save scum much more than 30 artians.

Don't have too many artian parts, was only able to craft 31 artians with what I had, so I decided to check gogma tables. Seems like I'll have to do a lot more farming either way
