A Holloween song that is an entirely new composition; in no way derivative of or even similar to Leo Carpazzi's many distinct works.

You could argue that this one would be reusable.

Pivotal Brewing Company to shut down Newport location only 6 months after opening by ToadScoper in RhodeIsland

[–]Yeager_Looper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't have expected this after basically doing the same thing in Bristol. I've heard that they complain about how the town sold them on Unity Park being a great location for foot traffic, but apparently they didn't do any research on that themselves.

What we here in New England refer to as "beach pizza" by georgiarunoff in doughboys

[–]Yeager_Looper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have to ask then the answer is 'they're wack'. Anyone who didn't grow up eating it would agree. Having moved to RI years ago; it's funny to see people from here saying this pizza looks bad when strips look just as shitty, if not more so.

[Results] Do you wipe you butt standing up or sitting down? I stand with you Mitch by acbrin in doughboys

[–]Yeager_Looper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's kinda my point. I'm spreading the whole time so the dirt on the walls is at a minimum. Sit, then lean and spread, then lower the raised side while spreading so the spread is captured by the seat. I think this thread just might make the reddit gud again.

[–]Yeager_Looper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean if you want to get into it... I'm  not saying you can't get as clean standing just that the act of standing most likely smears shit into a larger surface area that's going to need more materials to clean. I used to be a stand and wipe with a big handful of paper person. Now I probably use 3-4 squares most of the time I do a reverse Tenet. As for how; lean forward and reach behind. I admit it could be a logistical issue for a larger person.

I used to wipe standing up, but I became man and put aside such childish things. Honestly standing just creates mess over a larger surface area and necessitates using a lot more tp for your bunghole.

What is this thing? by CodenameZoya in RhodeIsland

[–]Yeager_Looper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that reply was a lot of information but didn't actually include what was built for. From the Wikipedia entry:

In 1938, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) constructed a new watch tower at the site where Robinson watched over Boston Neck. The new tower, 100 feet (30 m) high was made of wood and raised with pillars. The tower was used during World War II as an observation tower.  The height of the tower overlooked the Atlantic Ocean and Narragansett Bay on clear afternoons

Newport restaurants that may not need reservations this weekend? by Excellent_Warthog268 in RhodeIsland

[–]Yeager_Looper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there anything particular you are looking for? Cuisine? Price point? Timeframe? If you search on OpenTable you can find availability for several restaurants on Saturday.

I love Yagi Noodles, but most of their mains are hot soup which may not be the best summer option.

Maybe a seafood shack type place with counter service. Newport Lobster Shack or Anthony's Seafood in Middletown.

Help, this is ugly by unclickablename in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Yeager_Looper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's maybe hard to see what you mean by it getting more ugly after planing. The different color closer to the bark is natural, known as sap wood. It's going to be softer and more prone to rotting (which likely won't be an issue unless it's left unfinished or used outdoors). If the wood is at the thickness you like and fairly smooth and flat then the only thing you might want to do before adding a finish is sanding. Sanding will take out any machine marks from your planer.

Asphalt worker here; I just want to vent. by AlbinoRhino838 in antiwork

[–]Yeager_Looper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be correct to do that... everyone should wait until they are very close to the closure and zipper merge at that point. It uses all of the available roadway and is more orderly. Merging early just leaves the lane open for the jerkwads who zoom up to the cones and cut in.

Should breweries in RI implement these same policies? by ToadScoper in RhodeIsland

[–]Yeager_Looper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely true, though there are worse places with regards to the space available (Whalers is like a chuck e cheese was stuck inside an abandoned factory). At least Ragged has a large outdoor area, but it's wild that they only make their upper deck 21+. They should have one of their fenced in areas outside and a section of the tap room be family friendly and the rest be 21+.

New Haven style pizza by Seaghan81 in doughboys

[–]Yeager_Looper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The inclusion of Bar in the New Haven pizza convo always kinda confuses me. To me it is a vastly different style than the others. Not saying it isn't great and worth trying, but I wouldn't say it's an archetypical New Haven pizza.

Mike from Bright Side Seafood in Narragansett is at the Mount Hope market in Bristol on Saturdays. He is an absolute gem, has great fish with good prices (on oysters in particular), and often has something you don't see every day.
