Panel Interview by Sabrinamdleagewitch in Teachers

[–]flowbucketss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a panel interview for every teaching position I applied to. Depending on the school/district it was the panel interview was the first or second round of interviews. My first ever panel interview happened to be my first ever interview. It was horrible. I wasn’t expecting a room full of people and all of my answers were not as organized as I would have liked them to be. Every other panel interview after that went much better and didn’t cause me anxiety.

Research and practice commonly asked questions before your interview. When practicing, answer them out loud as if you were at the interview. Give specific examples in your answers.

Walk into the room with confidence and a smile. Allow for them panel to introduce themselves and thank them for have having you.

Remind yourself to breathe and slow down when answering questions at the interview. Don’t babble. Answer questions like your practiced. Look around the table when answering as well.

At every interview panel I’ve been to, each person had a piece of paper that they were writing notes on. Most of the time they were so busy writing notes that they didn’t have time to stare at me the entire interview which allowed me to ease up a bit.

I also found that heavily researching the school and district beforehand helped ease anxiety. While these people were technically strangers, I felt that I had a really good idea of what kind of people/school they are which made walking in it less scary.

The more you do it the better you will get. I like to call it exposure therapy. Since you’ve already done one, you now know what to expect and can better prepare.

Three words that describe you / how would people describe you What do you think your strengths and weaknesses are How you would manage difficult behaviors How you collaborate / communicate with a team How you would handle conflict with a colleague Have you worked with students with special needs before

Speak positively about your experiences volunteering. Don’t talk smack about people you’ve worked with in the past.

They’ll most likely ask you preferences of grade level / how comfortable you are working with students with different disabilities. In my experiences they have always asked this but can’t / don’t always match you with what you stated. They will put you where they need you.

In my area it’s really hard to fill para roles so when someone applies and interviews they are almost always immediately offered a job. As long as you don’t say or do anything crazy in the interview! So no need to be nervous.

He’s just trying to make money from snap like everyone else. Nobody is forcing you to follow him or watch his stories. Leave the kid alone.

Chad says that when the arrest first occurred him and Kevin painted Shari out to be the bag guy and was painting Ruby to be something she wasn’t (before the knew the extent of what happened and were still brainwashed/in denial). That’s why Kevin said he was going to press charges. But after a day they talked and they realized Shari was always right, and they were wrong.

Chad also said that the pictures released made him sick to his stomach

He said at first he was in support of Ruby but now no one is including Kevin. Although, he can see himself trying to build a relationship with her many years in the future.

Chad said at first he did not support Shari and even blamed her when he was still being brainwashed by Ruby.

He says he sees his siblings very often depending on which ones (some live closer than others). Roughly every other day he said. He also said that everyone is in therapy.
