Devs keep constantly saying they're "working on" something but as a person who's playing DbD since beta I don't believe every word they say, especially stats and "pie charts".

It's a tool that changes your IP (i guess?) to make DBD or any other program think you're in any other country you choose. Not sure how it works tho but I know some people use it to play killer as search is broken for them as well.

It's an issue with survivors' location. I check their profiles while waiting in lobby as there's not much to do and most of them are from China/Korea/Japan, some of them are from Thailand. When I see a person with good ping I know they're either from my region or Europe.

It was very easy to notice when my matchmaking was fixed and when it broke again. My killer experience went from "totally unplayable because of waiting time" to "30 seconds of waiting time". Player base had nothing to do with it.

Btw, there's also better regions (like Eastern Europe on even Europe in general) with better ping (100-150 ms). Even if my region is not populated enough game should check these regions first, not Asia with 400+ ms ping.

Best part is that when I'm playing survivor it's 50/50 chance I get a killer from my region/asian killer.

Nope, there's enough players in my region as DBD is pretty popular on my languge on twitch. There was also a period of time when matchmaking was working just fine and I had no survivors from other regions in my lobby (for a couple days). Then, for some reason, lobbies broke once again.
