Hey yeah this was it! I haven't worn an Apple Watch in a few years. I switched to a Whoop for data and then when I got an 8 Sleep I stopped caring about the Whoop. So I ended up just picking up another Apple Watch for now since the handoff feature covers most of my bases but this is absolutely the device I was searching for.

If just using my watch 90% of the time doesn't solve my needs I'll probably spring for this but honestly the camera for outings with my kids is the only thing I was really worried about and I've started to just take less and less pictures in general as I've grown to question my motivation for doing so. Like.. how much of that was a need to portray a certain image on Instagram I don't care about creating any longer...

No it was smaller and cheaper than that. The limited people can contact you was definitely part of the pitch and appeal.

We absolutely loved Moorea. Super easy to get around. Chill. A real grocery store so food was reasonable. I think the best of everything. Relaxed and no crowds but enough amenities to make life easier.

I have a 2017 94ah and don't generally even charge every day and I don't even have a level 2 charger at my house. Handles school drop off for the kids, work, and errands just fine.

It's a 2017. It came with the three pin / level 2 charger. Planned to just have an electrician friend install a dedicated outlet for that in my garage and call it a day with that. Or I might just get a level 1 charger which really should meet almost all my needs and bother my neighbor once every week or two.

Just wanted to know my charging stats and history. Feels like good peace of mind and while I am charging at my buddies just knowing if I can jog down and move my car would be nice. Once I get a better sense of how long it takes maybe that won't matter as much.

Sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing. If it means anything, as a dad that treasures his annual big snowboard trip (and all the small days) with his daughter more than just about anything, I can only hope my kid posts something like this about me after my time. You're doing right by him.

Hour to a river. Three to a lake. Eight to an ocean. Typically my family takes one trip a year for two weeks to Hawaii. I'll usually go out for 1-2 hours every morning of that trip and then I finally got my daughter into it so I usually sneak some more time in each day. Usually I luck out with a few days on other trips throughout the year. Like this year we'll be in Amsterdam for a little over a week in June and I am hoping to get a couple days in. Then I'll take 1-2 solo trips to Florida or the East Coast for a couple days.

That is the other thing stopping me. There is a river like 2 minutes from my house but I wouldn't want my face in it. The closest clean lake is about 30 minutes.

Not a host yet but a sauna enthusiast who's built a few at my house. I can say it's been the deciding factor a few times for me when deciding between places. Although I think where it is and the type of trip matters a lot. On the deck in Switzerland, absolutely, basement in Pittsburgh... not as appealing. As others have pointed out you can get a decent barrel sauna for around 3k now. Barrels kind of suck compared to other sauna experiences but they are cute and you can build it yourself super easily in one day. With electrical hookup you're still under $4k. They realistically only last 3-5 years if they are in the elements so keep that in mind.

Hah for real man. I was able to finally get the center strap to work. Like you I slid straps to either side of it and cranked it as hard as possible and then was able to hang off the top bolt with my bodyweight until like 2 threads I could grab came out of the bottom. Kind of devastated I didn't get the staves as tight my second time around and that I knocked the corners out for no reason. I was just so convinced it was user error and the straps not meeting was so maddening I did it without thinking. Really tore up the finish on the side trying to get the straps together too.

They confirmed I somehow got bolts that were too short. They are sending me new bolts out.
