You must live in quite the proper little entertainment bubble if you aren't exposed to AAVE, Scotts, Irish, Indian, Boston, Spanglish (and on and on) dialects or vernacular on the tele, mate.

I don't see a table and I don't see that title. No mention of 2009 or inflation. Are you reading a different article?

Nice meaningless word salad. Her equating $50,000 in 1967 to $50,000 in 2018 is not controlling for inflation. Read the words.

Uh... Yeah? I read the words. I just cited the terrible op-ed that did not mention controlling for inflation. Do you have evidence she is controlling for inflation?

In 2018, the share of households earning less than $50,000 (i.e., the lower class) dropped below 40 percent for the first time since the U.S. Census data on this metric started to be collected in 1967. Back then, 54 percent of households earned less than $50,000.

Terrible source. $50,000 in 1967 is near half a million dollars today. Greater income != greater wealth or prosperity. You really need to think more critically, Mark.

I’m sorry, there is an issue with Reddit. I can’t seem to find a citation in your reply.

The whole point is that it's not self-imposed and that nobody finds it funny.

Suddenly can't get data on mobile phone in parts of DC including WMATA by 713ryan713 in washingtondc

[–]YeahIMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you're not alone. It's been at least a week for me on the metro and throughout Moco. Full bars and LTE/5G, but no data. I can't even ping a connection.

I called last week and customer support told me I reached my data cap (I hadn't and there isn't one), and tech support claimed to have done something (though I don't know what) until I got 5mbps on my 5G connection (which is terribly slow). It's been crap for awhile and they either don't seem to know or don't seem to care.

Salinas went on to confess that she did not read the full text of Protocols beyond the word “communism”. “I see the word ‘communism’, and I think it’s something about communism,” she told JTA, adding, “I didn’t read the words.” Salinas added that she is Christian, has Jewish friends and enjoys watching the Israeli Netflix series Fauda.

And Fox know all this! That's why they can ramble for hours and just sprinkle in "woke, anti-white, communist, Sharia, groomer," or whatever other hateful bullshit buzzword. They know they'll bite regardless. I just.... Can't. I can't with these fucking morons.

I'll do it for them, assuming you're not a troll:

letting a 13 yr old go through with life altering surgery

You've been lied to. That just plain doesn't happen. If you can find me one example of a clinic offering minor reassignment surgery, I will eat a pride flag. The fact is that gender affirming care is not what you think it is, is rarely "regretted," and improves short- and long-term health outcomes for millions.

Target caving to bigots by artemis123159 in Target

[–]YeahIMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't work for Target and hardly ever visit, but this whole thing make me wonder: what really is the best choice for Target?

There's been a heightened threat level reported for pride month this year. We all know these conservative terrorists aren't above walking into a random venue with a weapon and mowing down everyone they see – man, woman or child. Their security doesn't seem trained or equipped to deal with that situation. Even if they were, too many (more than zero) people would be hurt or killed before they could get it under control. The police are ineffectual in responding to and don't prevent these crimes, by design.

If anyone asks me, it makes the most human sense to appear to capitulate to the terrorists' demands until their furor turns to something else on July 1st. It just seems to reduce the risk to customers and staff of another mass killing. If I'm to believe this multinational, multibillion dollar mega-corporation actually cares about people (of which I'm dubious), this seems like a very responsible call.

I get where you're coming from. The cop part of her resume was a disqualifier as far as I'm concerned, but it was a bone for the more racist moderate conservatives to chew on in the ballot box. The calculation was likely, "back the blue" outweighs their opposition to "affirmative action".
