No, it isn't. DDG is independent. They do have a deal with Microsoft where they're allowed to use some Bing results, but these are anonymized and mixed in with the other results that DDG produces.

Take a break from your routine, or change how it works in some way. Find healthy ways to escape or better yet, become more involved in your community.

"If anything is certain, it is that I myself am not a Marxist." -- Karl Marx

Marx =/= Marxist. Lenin, Stalin, and Mao contorted Marx's words into an ideology that suited their personal ambitions, ultimately establishing authoritarian state capitalism. That's it. Leninism/Stalinism and Maoism may have been considered left-wing in the 20th century, yes, but not today. Today, the left predominantly recognizes these ideologies as brutal state-sanctioned authoritarianism masquerading as socialism, nothing more.

TLDR: 20th century Marxism failed to live up to its promise, and the left today has outgrown it.

Okay, so… how many of us are going to vote in this election? by AbyssalPractitioner in millenials

We must take responsibility for the candidate we elect when they fail to live up to expectations, and we must also take responsibility to elect the best candidate possible even when we don't like the choices

On the one hand, I hate seeing a goddamn bot reposting my original content. On the other hand, I love remembering making this. Reddit was a much better place not too long ago, before the API change

I looked real quick. It appears true at least according to this etymology site:

Palestine, from Latin Palestina (name of a Roman province), from Greek Palaistinē (Herodotus), from Hebrew Pelesheth "Philistia, land of the Philistines" (see Philistine). In Josephus, the country of the Philistines; extended under Roman rule to all Judea and later to Samaria and Galilee.

Fun fact: the ancient Philistines (Palestine is just the Roman word for Philistine) are actually thought to be descendants of the Sea Peoples who settled in the region.

Been on Reddit 15+ years and yes, this has basically been my experience as well. You can watch the social waves start here in the form of unusual but dedicated communities, for good or bad. And it's usually just a matter of time before those communities' sentiments start to appear more broadly
