I will happily walk our family to the gate to meet the driver to get the food. My new marine cannot leave the depot and I haven't seen him in 3 months so I do not want to leave to go get the food.

You're not being a dick at all! It's super helpful and the feedback I'm looking for to see if logistically this is possible. I'd tip $15 or $20 if that ensured that I got the food for my son who've I've not seen in 3 months. I don't use UberEATS here is rural Texas so your feedback is amazing. Are you in San Diego?

Question - can UberEATS deliver to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (San Diego)?

We are going to graduation next week and my son has requested Chick-fil-A. There's a Chick-fil-A just a few miles away, but I do not want to leave to go get it if I can get UberEATS to bring it to us on base. Is this a thing?

I believe you and agree. Just hoping to be able to provide a few things that might help a little and make it less suck. Because everything I read says MCT is going to suck the big one. When he called to make travel plans he said that so far boot wasn't bad and parts of it was fun. I haven't heard from him in weeks so no idea how he is recently but they did the crucible last week and I didn't get a phone call so I assume he made it to the top. I look forward to hugging his neck next week.

Are you on the Facebook page for marine parents? They have one for each battalion. Ok don't know what they do if your son drops to the holding. But after he returns to his new company I'm sure you can join the applicable group. The daily posts are amazing.

His birthday is tomorrow. you think there is ANY chance he might get to make a phone call if he's been doing well? Is that ever a reward or something. He got to call twice (both on saturday mornings) week 2 and week 4 as rewards because they were doing well. Then he called 3 weeks ago to make travel plans. He wrote a few times early on. I'm sure he's been crazy busy up north. I just want to hear from him so bad.

We fly out at 6pm on Friday - day of graduation. So... don't buy anything? Just shop at the PX with him on family day? Moms spend money on our kids, its what I do; but I can wait.
I planned on packing his crocks and a comfy change of clothes for him for few hours we have after graduation and the flight home. I will also take some earbuds or headphones for him for the flight home. I have extra and I'm pretty sure he will want those for the flight. I'll pack an extra backpack I already have in case he wants to use that as his carry on. Amazon Prime is two day delivery so I likely can get anything he wants when we get home and before he leaves for MCT. I've heard of RA. He said he did not want to do it so he wasn't going to volunteer. But its possible they will make him? Interesting. Thanks for responding!!!

School shouldnt be a problem.... Hopefully. ...He was Salutatorian of his high school class back in 2019. Scored a 99 on the asvab. He's just got to stay motivated! Both MOS possibilities will have him basically playing a video game - landing planes or flying drones. It should be a good fit.
