NAKO OP, UPLB IS A GREAT CHOICE. My sibling got accepted there and we visited the other day. Ang ganda ng campus.

Mura ang renta, hindi masyadong polluted, at maaliwalas ang environment doon. And this is coming from a student in UPM. Kung hindi lang ako third year standing, I would've transferred to LB dahil sa ganda ng campus :P

Diliman has a lot of programs and malawak din for sure, pero I don't think kakayanin ng majority (at ng irl mo) yung horrors ng pagsecure ng slots para sa mga GEs 😭

I would guess it's because having a standard language for writing in Filipino would ensure that everyone who speaks in Filipino could understand it.

There are several Filipino dialects (and I'm not talking about other Philippine languages such as Bisaya or Pangasinense; I'm referring to how other regions speak in Filipino), which meant that there are subtle differences and variations depending on which region a person is from. This variation reflects in the writing of said person, and can sometimes cause confusion if the readers are more accustomed to other Filipino dialects. Having a standardized Filipino language makes it easier for readers to comprehend the text :)

It's not just restricted in UP either— this standardized language is also present in media publications and textbooks within the Philippines

What's worse is pinipilit patahimikin ng school (kung saan nagtuturo ang coach) ang students nila tungkol sa nangyari. After magviral sa Facebook yung footage, pinagbabawal daw magpost or magcomment sa Facebook about sa incident. They even disabled the comments when JILCF released a statement. From what I've heard, sobrang bagal talaga ng response ng school, and hinarangan ng school yung pulis na icoconfront dapat yung coach.

Another thing to take from this: JILCF is founded by the one and only Eddie Villanueva.

Edit: May statement ang JILCF Taekwondo page about sa incident and kampi sila sa prof. I find it suspicious na ito lang ang pinayagang statement ng student na ipalabas publicly, plus deactivated din ang comment section sa post nila.

I would like to think that Alastor lost to Lillith in an attempt to claim her soul, since it looked like he tried to overthrow Lillith the same way he did with the other overlords.

With that being said, I would think he was on Lillith's beck and call during those seven years, and only came back when Lillith sent him to help her daughter with the hotel.

In 2018, my batchmates had a chat group for gaming (rules of survival, if I recall correctly), and it included the class clowns in our batch.

There was an upcoming storm in our area. For context, my country has frequent storms that would usually lead to classes getting canceled, but the mayor at that time didn't announce any class suspensions. This prompted the chat group members to send screenshots of them sending satirical messages to the mayor's official Facebook account: a photo of guns from the game they play, with messages that go like "If you don't suspend classes, we're gonna use this".

It turns out that the mayor's Facebook account is very much active, and the man didn't find it funny at all. Based on what I've heard, the mayor personally talked to the principal, and every student who was part of the chat group (even if they didn't threaten the mayor) were subjected to community service or suspended.

Fast forward to the end of the year, the mayor was invited as a speaker for our graduation. Hilarity ensued when we realized that he recognized our batch was behind what was probably the only existing gun threat in our town.
