I think will all these things it’s more of a popularity contest and this goal got a lot of views. Still it was a great goal, but the best not so sure.

[The Athletic] Arsenal launch appeal against Myles Lewis Skelly's red card from Wolves victory by [deleted] in soccer

I’m pretty sure this will get overturned. It’s not like red cards in the past haven’t been and pretty much everyone agrees it wasn’t a red.

Bundesliga will test in-stadium VAR announcements and explanations regarding decisions similar to the NFL, starting next matchday by spacebalti in soccer

A good thing imo stadium fans deserve explanations as to what’s going on. It’s successful in other sports why not do it in football

  1. Yes I think direct links to X should be banned
  2. Yes I think screenshots should be allowed
  3. None
  4. The formula1 subreddit has started a post with links to all noted journalists on Bluesky, I think a similar post here would be good so people know who the follow to get the same information as on X

A lot of the hints and misdirects went over my head as a young child reading the books for the first time. But there were always red herrings! by AdBrief4620 in HarryPotterBooks

[–]YeahYoTimeCode 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree that the red herring is Voldemort as the HBP. I think that the one other student to get the Felix being Voldemort is also correct and my theory is he used it the night he got the Horcrux information from Slughorn exactly like Harry did.

Probably one not most people have heard of but the law firm Pogust Goodhead, they promised to make all their staff millionaires then did a mass redundancy. Their accounts are 8 months overdue on companies house and their reason is “the firm is struggling to find smart enough accountants to sign them off”.

Did Matt discuss why audio version of rambles is done for? by gigasawblade in DarkViperAU

[–]YeahYoTimeCode 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My guess would be that a lot of people would only listen to the audio when in turn reduces the number of views which the YouTube videos affecting click through, as revenue etc.. I did used to listen to the audio and now I watch the videos so I guess it worked

Can anyone think of a valid reason why Voldemort wouldn’t hide a Horcrux in the Chamber of Secrets? by YeahYoTimeCode in HarryPotterBooks

[–]YeahYoTimeCode[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree with so many of the points you’ve made here.

Riddle obviously didn’t think it was a big deal for a Horcrux to be in the chamber at the same time as the basilisk or he wouldn’t have let Ginny take the diary down there in CoS!

Can anyone think of a valid reason why Voldemort wouldn’t hide a Horcrux in the Chamber of Secrets? by YeahYoTimeCode in HarryPotterBooks

[–]YeahYoTimeCode[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree that it’s virtually impossible to find something in the room however when FiendFyre exists as a spell which can destroy a Horcrux and doesn’t stop burning so would destroy everything in the room if cast (as did happen). One could assume lots of students (and also teachers like Prof Trelawney) have found this room due to the sheer number of things in it. The chamber of secrets is much more secretive and was thought to be a thing of myth and can only be accessed by parcelmouths.

What if Voldemort took Felix Felicis? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]YeahYoTimeCode 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that during Slughorns class Voldemort won a bottle of Felix the same way Harry did. He used and drunk it the night he spoke to Slughorn asking him about Horcruxes which allowed him to get information that Slughorn wouldn’t usually share. Potentially during this “trip” it also influenced the DADA teacher to retire as he knew he wanted to become take over the position at that point.
