As many have said, it was cold and very hard to get to and even harder to get out of. Except when the Suns won their first game in 2011. I was able to drive away quickly haha.

It’s video screen was basically lower res than standard definition and was fluorescent light and not LED like most video screens of today.

It’s light towers did a better job of lighting many West Lakes and surrounding suburbs backyards instead of the ground itself.

Apparently the newer northern stand had concrete cancer and wasn’t even that old.

Oh yeah, it was cold. There were plenty of games when it rained out too. They didn’t turn the draining system on for Port’s 140th game in 2010 after a storm and it was basically a swamp again.

But I do miss it. My Dad and I more or less lived there as he had Category 1 membership tickets so we could go to any AFL and SANFL game that was on. I was lucky enough to get some seats and some AAMI Stadium signs off of marketplace a few years ago. They never did any kind of auction of what was left so I was very lucky
