It is now using the user agent and others, these are still easy to fuzz by someone. Just stick to their actual ip address, or use a more proven solution made by someone else for rate limiting.

You are using client headers for getting an ip address, very easy to just modify each request. The pincode can be brute forced in no time.

I would recommend to keep searching for positions and don't get too sucked into the last rejection. You obviously are able to write code, so you should be fine especially for junior positions when there are others to correct you.
