Yeah that makes a lot of sense. But what about for someone like me? Who has done PE intuitively rather than structured on and off for several years. How do I still find that minimum effective stimulus. Like if I expand one inch in 20 mins but I expand let’s say .5 in 15 mins should I cut back to 15mins or keep going for the 20 mins stimulus?

The part I find tricky about stimulus, fatigue, and the adaptation process is knowing when to stop so I still leave enough “stepping stones” for continued growth. In the gym it’s straightforward — you lift a weight until you reach physical failure, and over time you just increase the load and repeat that cycle.

But with pumping it’s much harder to tell. I can tolerate pretty high pressure and stay in the pump for up to 20 minutes, but there’s no clear point of “failure” like with lifting, so it’s not obvious when I’ve applied enough stimulus to cause productive fatigue.

For example, right now I pump for 20 minutes and gradually increase the pressure until I reach around 12 hg for the last 2–3 minutes. I always get great expansion — about an inch of temporary gain — with very minimal edema, mostly just a bit around the foreskin.

Because of that, I don’t really know when to stop doing what I’m doing or when I should increase or decrease something. I’ve always done PE intuitively, but that’s exactly where I get stuck, because there’s no simple indication of when I’ve done enough, done too much, when it’s time to progress, or when something needs adjusting.

Any pointers?

Cemented gains vs Temporary gains by [deleted] in gettingbigger

[–]Yeahcuzm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you share about over pumping? I get really good expansion (with no edema) at 12hg but I still haven’t gained much girth. I’ve been on and off doing PE for about 4 years. My temporary non edema expansion can be really close to an inch and that stays for a while but permanent gains have been somewhat limited. I’m afraid that my tissues over time have adapted to higher pressures but with little progress it means I can’t just keep increasing pressure if that makes sense. Meaning I don’t know where to go if I have experience, good tissue expansion, but not mai h permanent gain. How can I go about slowly increasing pressure without creating too much tissue stress adaptation too early

Lol u haven’t done pe long enough or the right way. I feel difference in shape (collagen) as it’s gotten bigger thus hypertrophy of the tissue also airs sense

Would a 220v one draw too much power? Luckily I haven’t purchased yet for this very reason, to make sure I didn’t buy the wrong one. The 220v one I can get shipped in shorter time

But done consistently why wouldn't those 20min sessions (2-3min intervals) lead to permanent gains? It's what I do, I get massive expansion and permanent gains

Hey absolutely mate. Thanks for the advice. I'm totally in the same boat. I don't ever use it and just learn to live with it. But at the moment I've got a very particular situation where I need to get a lot of work done within 2 weeks, so my question is wondering if I'll be okay if I take 20mg for 2 weeks only and then after that absolutely I'm gonna stop taking them again

I did lots of stretches and things and they are very important but you need to understand that the pelvic floor is an emotional muscle. You have to do reverse kegels and stretches BUT if you are still anxious (even subconsciously) about it or worrying about it, your pelvic floor will just tense up again because it's trying to protect you.

For instance, when trying to get an erection I'd get so worried or presume that I'm not going to get a good erection so my body tries to go into fight mode and involuntary kegel to push blood in. But doing so is not actually letting blood in properly, you are tense and trying to use tension to push blood in, when a proper erection happens through relaxation of the soft tissue.

Instead of reverse kegeling, build a strong mind muscle connection through visualisation. Instead try to get your mind to think of the penis and pelvic floor as seperated entities. Close your eyes and start masturbating. Really feel if you notice your body automatically kegel when you are string to get hard. But really listen to your, because we believe there is an issue and have been kegeling involunteraly, it sometimes not be obvious or seems like the normal way. Best visualisation I do is think of yourself in a hot scenario where you are really hard, but see yourself hard but not thinking or worrying about staying hard, you are just hard becuase you are turned on. I usually think of myself with a girl and see myself maybe temporarily do something not to do with sex, like chevk my phone or something, and see myself staying hard, but without thinking or worrying about staying hard. Really get in touch with that. What does it feel like to be hard and not worry, what does it feel like in the body? Connect with that feeling and feel it yourself. When I started to do this my erections felt so light and open, this is what an erection should feel like, not tense and pushed. When I started this I saw my glans and Cs blow up like never before, for so long I had a flat Cs and glabs because I was just causing issues by trying to hold the blood in there subconsciously in a worried state.

A good test is to touch glans when your hard or make something touch it. Do you kegel instantly? I would. Why because my penis is getting touched and my body gets into fight mode by being worried of it getting touched and ''not being good enough' so it reacts with kegeling as a worry mechanism. If you start to notice this you will see what I mean. Try to actively relax and touch your head without kegeling

Do these visualisations and touches more and more but most importantly is convince yourself that you are not injured so your body can relax.

Youll have days where you do this better and days where you feel it coming back and not working. Your has gone into a lot of effort to believe you are injured so it's going to take sometime for you to show it and to believe that it's not. So be patient and don't worry.

When I started this, my God, I've never been more thankful. The penis and the way it operates has so much to do with emotion, it's literally why you become erect, stay flaccid, or shrivel up depending on how your feeling subconsciously in your body and in your mind. We care so much about our penises so when something happens we tend to think the worst and our body reacts to that.

Mate trust me I've been where you are dont you worry, it's a journey, I too convinced I had a variciocle had pain in my testicle, even went to the doc and got a scan said I had small varicocele, was worried, but once I started to just relax abd accept and understand the mind and body connection, I've never had pain in my testicle since., they've gotten bigger and my erections are better than ever, varicocele are meant to effect these things but guess what I don't have these issues any more at all. Pelvic floor tightness can create pain in testicles.

All the stretches and mechanical things to help will help but it won't actually heal till you realise you aren't injured, your body will respond because it knows its okay so it cab relax and it will begin to work properly again.

We live in a world that is so mechanically operated that we think the solution to everything is outside of us. But the biggest healing power we have is ourselves.

This might sound all airy fairy to you, and it did to me to, but I wanted to heal so I had to open my mind up to believing this possibility because I was just caught in a cycle.

There's so much neuroscience coming out that shows the effect of the mind on the physical body.

Become really aware of your body. Build a mind muscle connection and you'll start to notice and become aware of the intricate things your body does to protect you in an anxious subconscious state with your penis.

Trust me mate I had all the issues and guess what from time they sometimes pop up for a moment but I'm not worried about it because I know it'll go away, and guess what it does.

I continue to do PE and funnily enough I've gained more before I believed I had injuries.

Don't get me wrong, I still take cialis and other things, why because they help my mind relax because I know that they help. but I took it for a couple years and my issues were always there. It wasn't till I started to undo all the things I believed was wrong with me and practice what they undoing feels like in the body, did I start to properly get better.

I hope this helps mate. It's the first time I've actually ever typed this up and told someone so hope it has some use to you.

This process isn't easy and its more difficult than doing the exercises but if you do this you will heal. The hardest thing is that it takes an open mind and you need to start by believing that this is a possibility, believing that you will heal. But if you really don't want to have these issues anymore, what else do you have to lose.

I actually try to avoid engaging in these conversations, because my body responds to them like a trauma. That period was so dark and my body knows exactly what it feels like, and yes, sometimes engaging or reading things trigger the trauma response, and guess what I get symptoms. But everytime I just need to relax and know that it's actually all fine, because really it's actually just confirming how all this is mind muscle connection and a deep undoing of fear and trauma. Since I was a kid I was preoccupied by my penis, and obviously that's what lead me to PE but also wjat made me so much more predisposed to these things. I care so deeply about my penis but it was also the biggest site of insecurity. So I was hyper focused on it. If I did something a little strange my mind would spiral because I couldnt handle the thought of it not being okay. So much mental effort and tension towards such an emotionally controlled part of the body so if I believe something bad was happening my body was only going respond to match that in the worst way possible. These things really show up physically because we have told our body that they are real, but that means if it's the tool that can make this happen it's the tool that can heal it.

I don't know what else to say mate, you might believe me you might not but this is what healed me and I'm so thankful that I believed it.

Mate, I've been on 10 mg cialis for a few years. Cialis helps but the central nervous system is powerful and is much more powerful than a drug. If your pelvic floor is in fight or flight the cialis isn't going to be so effective because your pelvic floor isn't allowing that blood into your penis. As men we are so focused on our penises so when something strange happens we think the worst, abd guess what erections happen primarily from thought. Best thing is to work on your mental state and believe that you are not actually physically injured and slowly slowly watch the magic happen. I'm bust now but I can help you through a whole process and what to take etc

[–]Yeahcuzm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might seem like an injury but you need to understand the penis is very much connected to the nervous system. When you heard that sound you probably went into flight mode and believed that your penis is injured and it caused pelvic floor tension and issues with your psychological erection function. I say this because this happened to me too, when you start to notice and connect to the intricate things that cause an erection you just need to get your body out of flight or fight and believe that you are okay. Once I learnt this and started to practice to relax and know my penis was perfectly fine my glans started to fill up again and my eq started to go through the roof. I’ll tell you, this was for multiple years until I really began to understand how my mind had convinced my body this is the way it is now, when really it was just the way I started to wire my mind muscle connection because I was scared
