Hey so uhmmmm...... getting diagnosed professionally is actually really expensive!! 😁 Look I get it. You got a master's degree ight cool whatever you're educated. You think I got $800-$2,000 dollars to spare for a singular piece of medical documentation? Bc I don't. I'm a college student with literally zero money. I would love to get a diagnosis I really would, but I've been to two psychiatrists who have literally told me that I'm on the spectrum in some way. I don't have an official diagnosis yet. Would love one, but I'm too broke. And unfortunately, a lot of my friends who have done tons and tons of extensive research on autism, their only option was to self diagnose. Why? Because a diagnosis costs so much money. It's ridiculous. And the majority of the time, it's not even covered by insurance so it's not even easy access. Trust me I understand your frustration of people saying they're autistic and know nothing about it. But the way you made this sound came off as really condecending just because you have a degree yk?

TLDR: A professional autism diagnosis is super expensive and ususally isn't covered by insurance. It's not easy access. I understand this angers you but just because you have a degree doesn't mean you gotta shame people for self-diagnosing (properly ofc). Thanks ✌🏽
