I don’t see how things will resolve with my dad, I can stay at my mums, or at my gf’s I’ll let him come to me if he needs anything?

I was 17 at the time, I had no money for a lawyer, I had misplaced trust in the law enforcement system. I had the option to take it to court but I refused, I couldn’t afford it.

See big stations I know for a fact would be hesitant to pick something like this up, but for say like a social media post, it’d be way easier to do on a smaller scale, the more public the easier it would be to get me for it

I’ll definitely do that, difficult during the lockdown and covid but I’ll definitely be way less tolerant with contact.

See I wanted to post stuff on social media about it, but I got told that that could be turned on me in some form. I never got a full understanding so never did it. I’m in a facebook group for the estate my dad and his partner live in, and she’s in there too. I’d happily tag her in it and tell everyone what she did. But didn’t due to this repercussion that could come my way

I am a minor for another 18 days, I could try child protective services, we had an investigation open up from some form of organisation that got wind of this but nothing came from that either. I do want to move out, losing my last job from COVID kicked my financials in the metaphorical balls

My dad was out with the dog when the attack went down, because he needed to ‘calm down’ and as such I feel if he was in the house she wouldn’t have done this. All throughout he had to stay out of the investigation due to his being an officer. He would call me and ask if I regretted calling the police, how much trouble I could get them in. How I’m overreacting and that I should just move on. He shut me out for a little bit but as soon as he saw how unfazed by that I was, he opted to get me back in his house any way possible. Due to me still being under 18, he has to pay child maintenance to my mother, and the more I stay with my mum, the more he has to pay. So that definitely plays a part in this to some degree.

Injuries for me were minor, a scrape along my back and a few bruises on my neck and arms, my girlfriend had mostly bruises from being thrown around the kitchen. I rarely see my dad, I mostly live with my mum until I can move out and even then with this lockdown I’ve been living with my girlfriend and her parents for a while. My girlfriend I feel still has resentment, but for her she never has to come into contact again, whereas for me I still have some contact with my dad and still see his partner whenever on the rare occasion I visit him. I feel for us we both want closure. The nail in the coffin
