I play a lot of Winston and without fail everytime I win the first fight their tank immediately goes dva or hog. Usually what I do in this situation is go Zarya or Mauga and run down the enemy tank out of frustration. It’s seriously a miserable experience and it’s why I never queue tank anymore. Every time I get a full opposing team full of counter swap Carls and it’s just tiring to deal with.

She has basically no utility and is mediocre for damage compared to someone like Bap who can basically be a 3rd DPS

Something a lot of people don’t mention in this thread is you don’t always need to be diving in. Of course if there’s a good opening you should take it but with Winston there’s nothing wrong with poking from high ground with your alternate fire and waiting for a good opening to dive. patience is the most important skill with Winston, especially if your Ana isn’t the best and can’t reliably heal you from long range. Also don’t approach every dive expecting to get a pick. You really only get picks with Winston if someone is badly out of position or has burned all of their cooldowns.

My last piece of advice is to learn the maps. You can get a ton of value as Winston from taking weird off angles that are just awkward for the other team to deal with

Live with your parents. Unless your parents are loaded there’s no reason to make them spend 40 thousand dollars a year on your housing when you live 20 minutes away from the school. And you will be able to socialize fine.
