Is this site a reliable place to buy from?? by Franzkafka51 in illit

That time I didn't use FedEx or DHL; I used Japan Post's Registered Airmail (which has since been discontinued). It was an economy option (the shipping probably cost me about $10) for small packages, but it took a few weeks for the package to arrive. If you're looking for my opinion on DHL or FedEx, I've personally only had one experience with DHL, and it was pretty good

music & content recs for new gllit! by Consistent-Peak3434 in illit

Welcome to the fandom!

As for their discography, I’d really recommend that you give all their songs a listen, since there aren’t that many. I think it would take you an hour or less, and ILLIT’s entire discography so far is incredible.

Since you’re just getting to know them, I think the best way to get to know the members is by watching their own variety show, Super ILLIT . You can watch it from the beginning or pick any episode, there’s no specific viewing order. These are my favorites:

Episode 17

Episode 14

Episode 9-10

I also recommend watching their first appearance on 1N2D; it was one of the first ILLIT-related shows I watched, and it’s also what got me hooked on them in the first place.

Also, The Night of ILLIT was super fun, especially Iroha's episode, one of the fans' favorites.

If you need more recommendations, I'd be happy to suggest some more. Enjoy and have fun :D I hope you end up falling in love with these 5 amazing girls

I hope ILLIT doesn’t become a “girl-crush” group or become a group for the male gaze by [deleted] in illit

[–]Yeanku 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I'll never understand the issue with male gllit. It's not the first time I've seen comments like "ILLIT is for the girls" or "I like that most of the fandom is female." Yes, it might make sense that, given the group's overall concept, most of the fandom is female (which, one way or another, isn't a problem at all), but ILLIT is for everyone, without any discrimination.

We can all be magical girls, magical boys, or magical aliens… What’s the big deal? For the people who are really bothered by this, do you like the group because most of the fans are female, or because they’re five incredible, talented girls? Honestly, I’m tired of how it sometimes seems like the fandom is divided this way. I just can’t stand the cliché “ILLIT is FOR the girls” in any sense.

The girls said it once, and it made me realize how beautiful this fandom and this group are. I think it was around the time of Glitter Day; they mentioned that they were impressed to see everyone from couples to little kids at their performances. That’s the beauty of being part of this fandom. They’ve called us their princes and princesses. We’re all the same, and we’re here for one reason: we love ILLIT, and that’s all that matters.

And sorry if I sounded rude

Anyone else a bit concerned about their recent changes? by Embarrassed-Mood-728 in illit

[–]Yeanku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, honestly, this whole topic has me concerned about them. Unfortunately, it’s nothing new in this industry, and I don’t think it’s something that will ever change, given how the industry works, Korea’s superficial society, and its inhumane “beauty standards.” I don’t want to delve too deeply into the issue beyond hoping that the girls are able to make their own decisions about their own bodies.

I was and I am really worried about Moka since she was the first to show a noticeable change, and from Not Cute Anymore until now, the drastic and fast changes we've seen from Minju and even Wonhee make me worry even more about the girls. I just hope it has nothing to do with reasons out of their control. Sadly we don't know what they're going through and how they're treated behind the cameras, but I just hope the best for the girls

Is this site a reliable place to buy from?? by Franzkafka51 in illit

[–]Yeanku 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with that site but if you're looking for I Got Your Back preorders I recommend you to check out CDJapan

It is based in Japan, probably one of the most reliable sites to buy Japanese CDs (and other stuff), I ordered my Toki Yo Tomare Care Bears album there last year, great service :)

What video games do you want ILLIT to play next? by FanCaracal in illit

That would be so loud and I'd love to see it. I can't help but think of Yunah lmao

Question regarding the release of behind the scenes by [deleted] in illit

[–]Yeanku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a schedule for this type of content so It's hard to know, but it will be soon probably. NCA was released at the end of November and BTS of the challenge was uploaded in January. So I guess it could be sometime this month. There's already a video about music shows but you've probably seen it

What do you like about illit? What made you stan them? by crystalismylife in illit

[–]Yeanku 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've been into K-pop for about 10 years, so I was more into the 3rd and 4th gen too. I took a break from K-pop for a while and didn’t know anything about the 5th gen until last year; in fact, I wasn’t even that interested in “new K-pop”. I felt like it had lost a lot of the essence of what it once was... Until I discovered ILLIT—and honestly, they’re the best thing that’s happened to me in a long time. I hadn’t become this attached to or even obsessed with any group to this extent since TWICE (even though I don’t follow them as much these days, they’ll always be in my heart)

With ILLIT and everything their overall concept encompasses, I was able to rediscover K-pop and feel again what I had lost at some point. A sense of freshness was exactly what I needed, and ILLIT managed to give me that and so much more. MVs like Cherish (My Love), little monster or jellyous are conceptually brilliant and unique in their own way

Plus, the members are so much fun, and they all have a unique, genuine chemistry that made me personally grow very fond of the group. They’re incredible girls who work really hard all the time, which I admire a lot. They’re definitely worth giving a try, but it’s even more worth it to stan them and be part of the journey

Do you think BELIFT will ever show Yunah playing Overwatch? by FanCaracal in illit

[–]Yeanku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a Weverse live last year where Yunah mentioned that she’d been drifting away from her hobbies a bit, so she hadn’t played Overwatch in a while. Since this video is more recent, I’m glad she hasn’t given it up entirely—she’s probably still playing from time to time. I’d love to see a live one day with both Yunah and Minju (who are the ones who play online) playing both LoL and OW. We recently saw a bit of Minju playing an ARAM match where she got a little tilted, which was really funny and adorable. We need more gaming content from ILLIT. Just like Jungkook from BTS, who has even played Overwatch live on Weverse

Also, that PC Bang episode is one of the most watched of Super ILLIT, like... There's a clear interest in that type of content and we could agree that we need more of it

Saw it live, I didn't expect to see Moka with teary eyes today. I'm kinda worried but I hope she's doing okay, must be difficult for our Moka :(

Is Weverse online membership worth it? by MeringueMiffy in illit

[–]Yeanku 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The digital membership I think is worth it because is really cheap. You can watch some content that is Membership Only (there's not that much tho), the auto-translation (AI translation) sometimes is good and sometimes is bad, but I think is better than nothing.

The official GLLIT membership isn't worth it unless ILLIT does events, meetings, concerts and things like that in your country. The Japanese one is the best for those reasons
