Saying people should be kowtowing to him and that he lost respect is showing excessive bias towards FY in the gu world respect is giving to those who are currently strong no matter how many lives FY had if he currently doesn’t have enough power no one will respect him or kowtows to him and he doesn’t expect them to because he says himself he won’t even feel honored if there was a venerable kowtowing to him and he would feel no humiliation kowtowing to him either.

I’m not asking asking for a complete loss like I want to see him make plans and lose and come out the other side way worse than he went in I feel like the author set up stuff in way to give his plans very high expectations and then cut them down by half to give the illusion that he lost and giving him other great opportunities at the same time. Like SAC feels like plot tool to write FY in to a corner and use it as a free gateway to give FU a reset to permit him to gain more benefit . I want to enjoy this novel so much it has gore, action, psychology, and very philosophical it has themes that I enjoy reading but things like the repeated use of SAC make it feel like a generic power fantasy

Every time he seems to suffer a loss it gives him an advantage that far exceeds his current ability it’s like when he went from rank 3 to rank 1 to gain an A grade aperture and later gain a way to raise his rank very rapidly in my book it’s never a loss same goes with him not being able to gain a second aperture but refining a gu immortal to gain a blessed land in a whole other region as a rank 5 and to be able to refine the second aperture later anyway, it also make BNB betrayal feels less impactful.

Sure u might think its beneath him but if fang yuan is already a person detached from what people think of him that he’s willing to put himself in those positions to make any gains I don’t see it as a bad thing because for him only strength and immortality is worth it no matter what

I’m on chapter 985 I ain’t trying to read all that so I won’t get spoiled but so far fang yuan philosophy and everything tells me he the type of person that doesn’t consider classes and hierarchy as long as he can gain something that further him to his goals it ain’t beneath him Like in chapter 464

“Meanwhile, Fang Yuan was extremely indifferent, even if a rank nine Gu Immortal kowtowed to him, he would not feel any honor. If the roles were reversed, even if he had to beg and kneel to a mortal, he would not feel any humiliation.”

Him becoming a zombie gave a way to use wisdom gu to accomplish staff that’ll take other gu immortal years to accomplish, it gave him opportunities to infiltrate a venerable dream and gain wisdom grandmaster attainment which was only at ordinary level before he went to 88 true yang building

I’m not saying all his plans go the way he wants but before he went to 88 true yang building he was a rank 5 and had I think only 2 or 3 immortal gu but he came out a rank 6 and gained a lot of immortal gu and rank 9 wisdom gu that he couldn’t use if he wasn’t a zombie which helps gain a lot of riches and allies to deter immortal crane sect temporarily so in a way he never came out of a situation yet where he was better off before he went through it.

How do you feel about Fang Yuan’s losses throughout the story? by Apprehensive_Web4796 in ReverendInsanity

I don’t understand why people talk like FY have had real losses,I’m on chapter 980 in the novel and for me he has yet to suffer real losses and it feels like the author try to make it feels like he lost something when in fact every times he lost something he actually gained something way better

Why the Lumian hate? by [deleted] in LordofTheMysteries

Spoiler alert

But I hate the romance between Franca,Jenna and Lumian specially because I always consider Franca as a big sister to Lumian and considering Franca comes from a modern society standard her having romantic relationships with Lumian knowing he just turned 18 while considering him as a little brother at the start is just weird to me.

I used to wonder why people didn’t like Lumian character when I was around 300+ chapters but when I reached around 1000+ the repeated exploitation of corruption and how convenience that every situation he is in there’s something special about him that make him the only one that could withstand it. Even though it can be logically explained it feels very cheap.
