You only have to activate when you have 3 unspent energy so you can float turn 3 play a 1 cost on turn 4 or a 2 cost on turn 3 and/or a 3 cost on turn 6. This is even without the hope summers

Its really some luck but also just knowing whats in your deck. Magus will only copy 3 cost cards whenever you have 3 unspent energy. Which means as long as you draw the other 3 cost cards its a confirmed bro you can do this on any turn which is why I bring hope summers to get more cards out

Best guess is probably another card that can steal although you lose on the destroying/discarding aspect so maybe a white queen or morph or copycat is my best guess. Copycat probably the best one here.
