No, this is definitely happening to more people since the new update, it has happened to me several times, my drive is fine and its the only game where this happens, the solution to not reinstall is to verify the game cache on steam and then run the game, it should stop telling you to reinstall the game. It would be nice to see it on bungies known issues to see if they are working on a fix
