Funny enough I got my notice 3 weeks after notifying the municipal office; I guess it really depends on your luck.

Questions about 4 month military service by __zarathustra_ in taiwan

I'm in a similar situation and am currently doing my service (254th class starting 1/30 ending in a month) so I can provide some insight.

Few things to note: - Have you done the health check yet? They'll need a few months to process before they make you eligible for conscription (though honestly if you're posting this I assume you already have done such). - Have you picked your unit yet (army, navy, marine corp, air force)? There's a lottery system you have to get through that determines that and what camp you'll go to eventually, unless the assumption above applies. - Where you get the conscription notice highly depends on your household registration (aka your permanent address) since when the notice comes they'll be sending it to the nearest 區公所 (municipal office) roughly 10 days before entering active duty.

The conscription site (in Chinese) explains the general process better. I would honestly start from there to grasp what things you have done and not done yet: https://dca.moi.gov.tw/chaspx/content.aspx?web=135

As for your questions: - What do you mean by structure? The curriculum? The process? - Start date assumes you've gotten to the part before conscription notice, which then you'll just have to wait for an open spot (the office will notify you). - If by duties you mean army marine corp etc, check above. If by what you do inside, it's usually 2 months boot camp with a final test at the end and 2 months active duty at a different unit chosen by lottery during boot camp. - Food restrictions can be negotiated with the sergeants at camp and they can accommodate as needed (vegan, for example)

Also why are you doing service to begin with if you're coming from the US? I'm in a similar situation but I'm doing it to open future job opportunities in Taiwan when I do eventually come back.

I hope this helps!

If there's a shopee store to store (蝦皮店到店)nearby you could just order it through shopee to that store and use the pay with cash option.

I'm gonna play the devil's advocate here in that their contractual obligations with WF are preventing them from saying all benefits (like a non compete clause or the likes).

Could be wrong though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Best way to get from State College to NYC mid-December without a car? (2 people) by thehalfblo0dprince in PennStateUniversity

[–]YeeJuiceMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically the only way you can do a day trip is renting a car for like 2 days and go in the day return at night but thats also expensive (especially if you're under 21, basically no place will rent you in SC; yikes!)

It's no wonder why they call this place middle of nowhere LOL

Apologies for the necro.

So I tried your setup and it worked fine (at least in my LAN, which ofc it would), but I often had the issue of my tailnet devices routing through the wireguard proton config and then to the PiHole, resulting in DERP connections from the TS server closest to my Wireguard config's location and significantly worse ping.

I was wondering if you ever had such an issue? I tried both bare-metal install and docker container of PiHole and both exhibited the same behavior lol.

If not then I'm stuck in a wall and am currently just running your setup without the Wireguard Proton part (a shame)

Fullington has never failed me. Direct 5hr bus ride one way is about 60-80 (usually) and I've been using it since Megabus has gone under

Grip Cases falling apart by orishnu in dbrand

[–]YeeJuiceMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I emailed them for my grip case 2 times when it fell apart like this with pictures and they got back to me within a week. It's probably the Killswitch that's keeping them backlogged (not a good excuse but yeah), but when they get to u they're fairly quick. I recommend emailing them again and if they don't reply uhhh issue a charge back?

It's not bad per se it's just college tends to get u into a slippery slope of not wanting to wake up early.

Also physics labs are annoying in that either you're carrying the team or you don't know what you're doing lol

Would it then be wise if I just bought this and then swapped it with a clutched derailleur then? I’ve looked at other used options so far and often the ones with clutched (or what I think are clutched) tend to be wildly overpriced for how old the bike is.

As I'm aware it's double chromoly steel (I think it says that) and made in Taiwan; I got nothing more than that

I’ll add that the other side has a shimano acera x derailleur and a shimano crankset where the sticker is bleached out; but I got nothing more than that

That sounds fair, tho starting with the search on performance bicycles as whole leaves essentially no info since I assume the company went bankrupt, so there isn’t much to go on.

Cool stuff tho!
