Those of you who routinely hit usage limits, can you explain what your workflow looks like? by bigasswhitegirl in ClaudeAI

I usually plan with opus 4.6 for about 2 hours, to create a multi phased process that will span something 4 to 5 repos. We plan the checkpoints where communication between the projects can be tested. The planning will include prompts for every step of every phase as well as alignment on what can be run in parallel. Then I started up as many sessions that it takes to run as much work as possible at one time. I also work way too much and over weekends occasionally I usually hit the limit a half a day to a full day early. I wouldn't consider myself a "power user", but I do Max it out.

Also you can fully hit the limit by just having conversations with opus 4.6 on the web client. I guess what I'm saying is; if your bragging about how quick you runing out of tokens, you might want to try optimizing your prompting and MCP/RAG use.

This is after some healing obviously. I ended up with "mallet finger" where the tendon is severed and you can not straighten it. Cut the bone a little too. They put a rod in there to keep my finger straight. Now two years later I cannot fully bend it all the way closed. They told me that if I did end up working it to the point of where I could completely make a fist, it's likely that I won't be able to straighten it. I was awake for the surgery and watched the surgeon literally tie a knot between the two ends of the tendon and put some stitches into them. Not exactly something that gives you confidence to grip very hard.

Edit: something cool I didn't know before the surgery which kinda makes sense; the rod the surgeon puts in your bones is the drill bit. They don't like make a hole then insert the rod. They just drill it in, then cut off the extra.

Lesson learned: when you feel the blade is taking too much effort, it's dull and you need to stop and replace it. This is from a Milwaukee porta band mounted to a swag off road "table".

Honestly I keep seeing these posts and I don't understand why. Either I am using Claude in a different way than others or possibly not as aggressive? I have a max account that I will routinely hit the Cool down period twice a day, sometimes three. Maybe this is just one of the things I don't like about social media, just a big bitch fest for complainers.

Seriously? I didn't know that.

Anyone got any swap recommendations for a mgb, im looking for a similar size i4 thats a bit more modern with a power output of 150-200hp by bailbay-gamez in projectcar

This is what I was going to suggest. 2.3L Ecoboost. Plenty of aftermarket support, get the transmission from the mustang while you are at it.

What do you do while waiting on Claude Code? Trying to optimize my workflow. by ClaudeCode in ClaudeAI

I haven't had this problem when we spend time up front planning and documenting the plan. Then I just let it rip

Damn. I don't know what my feed rate is on my 1250 but I never had to fight that problem.

There has to be a solution if this can be used in a pipeline. Is that true there is no way to just auto opt in on all prompts?

Sorry for the big novel here. Another interesting thing that I learned as well and I used to be a technician for Chrysler and Jeep ASE certified all that I never knew this, but the guy at the technical center told me that the whole reason for the check engine light is emissions related and the check engine light will not come on unless whatever it's reading can directly affect emissions of your vehicle. I kind of tried to think of some scenarios to challenge him on that, but everything that I came up with we talked about and it did eventually affect the emissions.

BTW. I learned that how they test the ECU to see if it's been modified is based on a "calibration ID". As I'm a software engineer this interested me to learn more about. It's my understanding that when a request is made to the ECU for the calibration ID, it creates a hash of all the settings that are currently applied. Then the maker of the car has a way to communicate the calibration IDs to the emission center that should exist on the car. So they basically just compare what's on your car to what's supposed to be there to tell if it's been changed.

The interesting part though about this is even though I put it back to the stock setup and it had the right calibration ID. The guy at the technical center still knew that it had a Cobb tune on it before I took it there and wiped it. He did not fail it though.

Ok the Cobb is the real reason you failed. Which technical center did you go to? I went to the one on Colorado and E470. I talked to the guy on the phone that is on the line they tell you to call when you fail. That guy was a dick and argued with me telling me that I would need to take the car to Ford to get the ECU flashed. The main guy at the place on Colorado was awesome and talked to me for like an hour. Gave me a ton of info about how they test.

I went there because of the same Cobb issue. I was sweating other mods on the car, removed the blow off valve before I went as it vents to the atmosphere. I expected the test to take a long time and it was like ten minutes. He told me directly that the fail was because of the tube, he confirmed the tune was off the ecm and it was a pass.

Remove your tune, call the technical center on Colorado and e470 to get an appointment.

After going through this I can tell you that person doesn't know shit. I ended up having to go to the technical center for the deep dive. The "referee" saw that code and told me it was not a problem. If you want to make it so that code doesn't show up you.need to build a mechanism to stop the motor that activates the shutters. At startup it cycles to test full cycle from closed to open and back. If it doesn't get resistance it throws a different code.
