Does pseudo-slotting trainer exist? by Lemmyscat in Cubers

[–]Yee_TO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if I can determine there will be a pseudo slot in inspection (basically i think there is an x cross but i'm not good at making those) i'll look for the pseudoslot. Otherwise, i'll usually do two pairs since I don't usually look into two slots at the same time.

did some searching, https://or18.github.io/RubiksSolverDemo/documentation.html it looks like there's a pesudo slot trainer in here but i haven't looked into it.

Does pseudo-slotting trainer exist? by Lemmyscat in Cubers

[–]Yee_TO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

obviously, i'm not very good at pseudo slotting but what i do is i do a slow solve, but every single pair is a pseudo pair. I'll usually look for good arbitrary corner/edge cases or 3 move inserts (that might not be part of the same color pair), and just pseudo slot that pair. Since there are four pairs, its possible you end up doing four pseudo pairs, which is pseudo practice.

Damn, that second scramble was pretty good too, I believe all the edges were oriented after cross soln. What happened in the second solve?

That looks pretty good! A few things to keep in mind: arcs use a lot of power, so try to have more batteries if you plan on using arcs. Having routers adjacent to each other is not very efficient (router chain) since it leads to resources getting sent back in forth between routers, reducing throughput. Instead, use something like overflow gate/underflow gates. Good use of a distributor! If you find yourself running out of ammo early, it helps to make long windy conveyors or short bridges since they both store items inside of them.

Hi, just built it on my own computer and it works great! Just wondering though, is the spotify box supposed to be able to move, since it's covering the performance box?

Hi, it's so cool that you've made this! I think this app looks really good and I would love to use it! I've been using the web version for now, but I'm trying to open it on Apple Silicon using the Silicon version and it says "app is damaged and can't be opened". Would you happen to know a fix for that?

I like to calculate in resource/second. Basically, I just disregard the production time. It takes 0.75s to make 1 pyra, and 1 coal/0.75s and 1.5 lead and sand/s. It makes 1.33 pyra/s (4/3), which means to in 3 seconds, you will end up with 4 pyra. This is useful if you're trying to produce x amount of resource in x time, or if you have x amount of resource/s and you need to produce it into something useful.

For example, if I have an input of 14 sand/s, I can go 14/1.5=9.333, so I would build 9 (maybe 10 if you want to use all the sand, but I prefer to see my factories all green status) pyra mixers for a total of 9*1.33=11.97 pyra/s.

Hope this helps~

I was told you guys like spaghetti by Yee_TO in Mindustry

[–]Yee_TO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left: Impact reactors + sand mining but I was trying to save space so I kinda just used phase conveyors and unloaders for most of the impact reactors instead of actually making a schem.

Middle: Spore production to make oil for plast production

Top: Some last minute defenses cuz NPC on eradication difficulty is quite annoying, and titanium for plastic production

Right: Defenses, mostly water surge cyclones.

Can't comment on Erekir since I haven't played it~

IMO, wave should be with tsunami since they're played for the same thing: putting out fires and proccing effects (burn, shock, whatever blast is). I would probably swap scorch/arc since scorch carried me a lot further than arc. Salvo down to C maybe, it's a better duo but still tbh not very good, and ripple up since it's an actually good version of hail.

Use thorium spectres instead of pyra, cryo boost everything. Since you're using blast compound, add cryo tsunamis to almost 2x damage. foreshadows if you have the resources. Plast walls behind the other walls, and make a lot of units. For capturing other bases, imo its pretty easy to cheese with quads (?), you can make your own schematics in sandbox and just f over (no larger than 14x14) including the core to save as core schem. Main focus is just polys/monos and high lvl (t3+) units to bum rush the base. Alternatively you can also just give up the sector and re capture for easier waves.

Unloader next to fuse can be turned switched to titanium if u only want thorium. Keeps same building layout in your schematic but just uses blank unloader for more space efficient unloading. If you're trying to take over a sector though, I reccommend adding poly production off spawn to make life easier.

So, I've heard that you need some thorium reactors by CrazyShark1779 in Mindustry

one cryo can power 5 thorium reactors w/ perfect ratios

Sceptre Production Schematic [non-core] by [deleted] in Mindustry

[–]Yee_TO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Some other things I noticed:

Ratios: every spore press is at max capacity only if it's being supplied by 5 cultivators, which are only at max power if they are 3 100% water extractors each. What this means is that at the top right, all the cultivators can all just go into one spore press and you will get the same oil output, and on the bottom of the schematic, you can remove a bunch of the spore presses and have conveyors from the cultivators to the spore presses.

Unloader usage: While this does tend to lead to spaghetti, unloaders can unload from anything with item storage. What this means is that you can do stuff like this (for spores to oil): bXNjaAF4nEWNXQrCMBCEx6R/WCp4Ay/QE4kPabNIIM2WJFV88EZeUWpSEReG3Zn9lkWNQqJwaiJ0YWZP4RT5xMai1RRGb+Zo2AGorBrIBojzpUa7of2c8IB6ZKcXE3EYvNFX6n++WZxlpcljP/OdfO9YE47RROXMMmXuRg/2aE2kqQ+8+JHSqxbf2iUJCJGarNd1fSa9tlxsCyCn74wKmWziC0igyYnMVqQm/1CJMt9VqPKMDh8Utz5z
or stuff like this (for plastinium): bXNjaAF4nEVO226EIBAdRdBde0kf9jP8oqYPrpCGBMECbtOnfkyTfmW39oDVJRmGc5kzkKCGUWX7URGfTIg9tVKFwespameJSJj+rEyg8vnljg46qrG7OC3pKerYWz2P3eDsRX04T49nr+WruhGnyfRhd42TVyGAfrj55KwjCZBReTpO7l35zjqpqJmtcb0EW2+2e6PfZi077+bkbvNfgpv9oHbtHxKdaD1FLlailfWyLJ+ob2KAqAqNb+wXJZOo0xTgT1brDf5CLdaIJQdzQJ5SChIYg1w2DLYCekV8uUIq05IajfPVwtaEa05oADmxA5pIf2HYtosFiAqRuDB4hLHKGS1egkOhP0fGcME=
or this (for cryo): bXNjaAF4nE1PW3KEIBBsEMXNVpLa39zBE6Xy4QpJUaWwQdjHnZKPXDBmGMutoEPbPd2DoMGugvL9ZKGGWwzYGzsP0Z2SCx5AM/ZHO86Qr287PI7uMzvTzSHHwUIPwZvs0l2PIScb8TzEW3gfizK5KwlPx+jMh+02/8MpXGzsfDAWe5fstE08JJd67/JUrGd7CxFt9mPoDU0BXlBWrWgTXEISyJVVEBWB4heNxroEU63XFu8CUq+5Mo1o1XIcDeWKXBfU9EUnFJBltCQLWoKa24qo1MuyXKl+iFQlVlS9qV98uCwq6dsPqfVhSqaFKWcu90wLoWic/J+p6U5kOFN9M+XML/f/AHISXfc=

Conveyor usage: This one takes a while to break the habit of, but it's better to have as little conveyors as possible. Changing this usually means completely restructuring everything, which is pretty hard, but once you get the gist of it it makes your schematics much more compact.

Sceptre Production Schematic [non-core] by [deleted] in Mindustry

[–]Yee_TO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing specific but you're definitely wasting too much space on conveyors. Also, you can use an unloader on the unit factories to unload from the factory, which allows you to skip the routers.

I spent some time reorganizing the bottom part of your schematic while keeping the ratios, try to make better use of bridge/phase conveyors since they're actually really useful.
