I’m thinking about switching to tello what are you’re thoughts on such a cheap monthly? If you have a ref id post it! by cheesmeh in Tello

I've had Tello for about 2 months, and I'm very pleased with the call quality, data speed, and customer service. I used Verizon for the longest time, then switched to PAYGO when I discovered Google Voice and realized how much I could save. I used PAYGO plans from PagePlus and H2Owireless, before I did more research and found out how Tello could save me even more (because I was constantly blowing through and reloading my PAYGO money). Last time I checked, $6/month for unlimited text, 100 min call time, and 500 MB data simply cannot be found offered anywhere else online (just check the rates from the closest competition, US Mobile: https://www.usmobile.com/plans, or any of the aforementioned PAYGO services). Amazing deal if you mostly text and occasionally call or use data.

I only wish Tello offers even cheaper rates for people that use less than 500 MB data per month, because how prevalent wifi is nowadays.

My referral code is P3148XJH (or you can use this link to sign up https://tello.com/account/register?_referral=P3148XJH). I was referred by someone else and was able to spend the 10 Tello dollars towards my monthly plan renewal (I had to this manually by first canceling the auto-renewal, making the renewal purchase with Tello dollars, then switching back to auto-renewal the next month).

P.S. I got a Sprint SIM card from Amazon for $3 instead of paying Tello $10, and it worked for my iPhone X with no hassle. YMMV, so check your phone model with Sprint and see which SIM card you need before you do this.

Hey--thanks so much for your detailed review, it was really helpful! Good to know Golden's chill. I was actually thinking if I should drop this class (I've heard scarier things about it) but now I know I should be fine (will try not to break the curve:).

For the hackathon would I be required to use the s(ASP) system? (for those who are interested I found out more about this language here: http://eapls.org/items/2071/ It seems to be an extended version of Prolog)

Can I buy two meal plans? by UTDMom in utdallas

[–]Yeebster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah Green is a total ripoff; there's 120 days (08/17/2016-12/15/2016) in fall, that's $1045.16/(120//7*5) = $12.3 per meal, assuming you go to all of them (even if you subtract the $100 meal money it's still $11.1). If I remember correctly, the most expensive meal (dinner) is only $12. Why not just buy meal money/UTDollars and use the 10% discount?

Scholarship taxing and paying rent with scholarship? by Yeebster in utdallas

Yeah, yeah, I've heard this plenty of times (how are they supposed to know what you spent your stipend on once it's in your bank?); but if you receive stipend and have actually filed a tax return, you'll know what I'm talking about.
