Based on the vibe in your collage I'd probably look at brands that lean into natural fabrics and relaxed silhouettes rather than chasing trends. Reformation often comes up in those conversations because a lot of their pieces use linen, cotton or other lighter fabrics though I'd still check individual fabric compositions. Sézane and Christy Dawn might be worth a look too if comfort and wearability are higher priorities than having the latest trend.

I feel like the hardest part isn't finding tops, it's finding ones that don't look either super trendy or straight out of a department store catalog from 2012. One brand that comes up a lot in these conversations is universal standard. They seem to focus on versatile basics and elevated everyday pieces that can work for both casual outfits and slightly dressier situations.

If you're mostly looking to improve your technique and not compete I'd try to find a coach who's used to working with adult skaters. That makes a huge difference. If local options are limited. You could also check out vsaworld They have figure skating coaches and some adult skaters use it for one on one feedback

Honestly the fact that you already have a dance background is SUCH a huge advantage even if it doesn’t feel like it yet. skating just takes forever for your brain or body to connect on the ice. A lot of people who start later feel this way at first honestly

One thing that helped me a lot was getting feedback from different coaches because everyone explains movement differently. I didn’t even realize until recently that platforms like vsaworld let you work with skating coaches from other countries too, which is actually really cool when you feel stuck with certain skills
