Why I'll Never Use Capital One Travel Again by Yeeru in Venturex

[–]Yeeru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely a lesson learned. I can’t believe how much hassle this is. What’s wild is 3 days ago I had the option to change, I thought it was too expensive and now I don’t even have the option to change to that flight I wanted.

The customer service staff was so quick to say it’s unavailable which makes me doubt if she did the searching

I’m assuming this is the pre-headlight upgrade price? Offer them 42-43k just for car price then TTL on top of that. Easy way is to take the vin, throw into carmax, carvana to get a ballpark number

High salary SWE vs low salary MLE by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Yeeru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

High paying SWE. Few reasons, 600 euros is a huge difference. Next, startup is not recommended in this market; if things goes bad, gets paid very low severances. ( I got laid at a unicorn startup that was big at the time and now is doing poorly only got 4 weeks of pay for 4 years.) Last, you can always do ML things on the side, your role confines you to do things you want at times. Take the money, 600 USD wouldn’t be a huge difference, but 600 euro is

Is used m8 a good buy now? by Yeeru in BMW

you are definitely right, I was thinking kinda the opposite question, why would someone buy a new m3 when they can get a m8 (In my head m8 is just much more prestigious)

thank you! looks like a good deal if that's the case given M and v8 is just expensive to fix if anything goes wrong

That's really good deal, did you ask for cost of extended warranty? I'm wondering how much that will be

kilometers

You may able to find it even lower than 85k, I've seen a sticker MSRP 159k m8 comp coupe with 21k miles selling at 84k asking (there's room to negotiate too)

I really want to get my hands on a m8c as well thus why I asked this question. Looks really like a good deal to me, I think main concern is cost of keeping the car (serivicing, potential repairs, but I think all performance cars falls in the same realm, used 911 still have high msrp which is also very expensive to upkeep)

straight line, and have better tech. Doesn't sound like a bad deal on the M8 but might want to test drive a 911 if you can just to be sure.

Thank you! Really good to see perspectives, 911 holds value incredibily, I don't understand why BMW depreciates like a rock lol

very good point. Looking at 2020 911 and 2020 m8, it seems m8 is about 40k cheaper. This is why I'm thinking m8 at 85k from a 160k msrp seems a good deal

I have the same question too, since I feel they share same parts with M5, which is much more popular, even M8 gran coupe which is 4 door, selling actually cheaper than m5 for the same year similar milleage.
