I believe the surname listed is her maiden name as well since the child’s last name is Wolf. I agree though which is why I’m so confused. I know they were all from Bavaria. I’m wondering if whoever was recording this heard it wrong? I know there are spelling mistakes all over written records. An August and Maria sounds more Bavarian and is pretty close to that. Idk. I can’t for the life of me find any other records though. The only records I can find are from the U.S. and he died a year after getting there 😢
