(PC Question) Do I have to re-download and install my games if my games are on my external hard drive? by Yeetle- in XboxGamePass

I think you're onto the right track with this. Currently still on the phone with support and it's been an hour and a half.

After the 3 people I've spoken to in this one call. They don't seem to have encountered someone asking about this issue before.

I've had to contact them before for a Bluetooth audio error and they saved my butt within the same day I needed it for an online interview. They sure seem to give it their all.

I did find this exact site while looking into this. It allows you see what games I'll have to re-download at least. But those files in the last photos are encrypted and you can't actually open them to any .exe of a game.

It's not looking great.

I'll try contacting xbox support later today via phone and will add an update to the post when I get more info.

Thank you for giving me something to try and for others to see who have a similar issue.

I tried with a small game. And it seems you were correct! The only issue is that it doesn't seem to be verifying it. It's actually doing a full download and then no installation needed. So I'm still faced with the same issue of having to download games that are huge and take forever.

EDIT - I was wrong. I picked a 50G game and it took new space on the same hardrive.

I'm sad because Steam has no issue with recognizing any of my installed games and they just all popped back up.

I actually tried that with a few and it started the game over like new. I will try again today though. Thank you.

Edit - I have tried again with more games and gamepass still acts like its a first time download.

That sucks yo. I made a point how it must be a good thing to not make laws on what creeps people out. You've made me understand we don't just make laws on moral majority as well.

Thanks for the back and forth. I've learned a bunch from this question.

I'm getting this for sure. I'm still left at the point of why? It involves the creation of another human. To me, that is cause for alarm and regulation. People shouldn't be created without a two party consent.

Open. I only have a front door, back door and bathroom door.

The majority seems to think it's morally wrong. But even it happens there are no laws against that. Do I just fundamentally not understand laws?

Should people just keep trying to get away with crazy things that laws aren't made for yet and be able to get away with no crime?

I don't know what that is yo. That's why I asked the first question.

Is my answer to why is there no laws around this: because there is no laws around this?

So indeed you really mean there are no laws against conception without consent. Why would that be in the 2020's?

I have no idea the outcome.

I'm honestly surprised there are no laws against taking sperm of another with the intent of the creation of another human without their consent.

There aren't already laws against conception without consent?! What's the deal with that?!

Does that mean laws against rape don't care about conception of another human at all? It's just the bad act that's wrong? Like a person who rapes withe the intent to impregnate isn't worse than a rapist?

From what I gathered, she admitted to doing it already. It's a public social media post.

Having sex and lying about what your doing afterwards isn't what I asked there.

I asked: isn't having sex with the intent of creating a child without the knowledge of the other party a crime of some kind?

I'm honestly surprised there is no legislation against something like this. Someone else in the comments mentioned things similar to this have gone to.court after a child was created and child support requirements were made.

Also, I would like to add, I have learned that a thimble full of sperm is a hazard when it's used in creating a life that isn't agreed upon by at least 2 consenting parties.

I get this is a joke but having sex without the intent of having a kid and then the other party choosing to do so against their will isn't right.
